It was revealed Thursday that Iron Man is getting a new armor, as we saw in Kael Ngu’s cover art for Invincible Iron Man #16. A new Iron Man armor is a thing to celebrate as the different looks and abilities of his costume spur imagination and excitement. His legacy of changing things up is a big part of who Iron Man is. Fans will notice there’s a lot more black in the design.

Writer Gerry Duggan expanded on the legacy via his Substack, detailing the suit he started his run with and the stealth costume he’s been sporting the last few issues. Gerry also revealed new images for the Mark 72 armor, which you can see below. This suit is made with Mysterium and may be Iron Man’s most powerful suit yet.

Designed by Pepe Larraz, Duggan said, “The results are stellar. The final turnaround model is below. I believe it will also be a cover on a future issue of our Iron Man series.”

Larraz also chimed in Tweeting:

What do you think, readers? Are you a fan of this new suit? What abilities do you think it has we haven’t seen before? Let us know in the comments.
