A set video from Daredevil: Born Again‘s production shows Matt Murdock in action, proving that the best change made for the MCU from the Netflix show will continue. Since the production of the show began, Daredevil: Born Again‘s updates have been abundant as one of Marvel’s most-anticipated projects grows closer to release. From updates surrounding Daredevil: Born Again‘s cast of characters to hints at how the story of Matt Murdock and Kingpin will continue in the MCU after Echo’s post-credit scene teased the latter’s future character arc, set reveals have been central to news surrounding the MCU’s Man Without Fear.
Marvel’s Echo Post-Credits Scene Explained
Marvel’s Echo show includes one end credits scene after the fifth episode, “Maya.” We break down what it means for Maya Lopez and Kingpin.
The most recent Daredevil: Born Again set video as shared on the Twitter/X page CanWeGetSomeToast highlights more of the show’s production. The video includes Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock – or more likely one of the actor’s stunt doubles – swinging through New York City. This is accomplished through the use of Daredevil’s batons, which have been used at length in Marvel Comics to allow Matt’s traversal across Hell’s Kitchen and other areas of the city.
The MCU change that Daredevil: Born Again is continuing – as evident by the set video – is the titular character’s more acrobatic aspects. While Netflix’s Daredevil had fairly acrobatic fight scenes for Matt Murdock, there is no denying that many deemed his more graceful, agile elements from Marvel Comics had been toned down somewhat. Daredevil’s first MCU appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law instantly rectified this, making Matt Murdock a much more nimble character than his Netflix version to better fit his depiction in the comics.
The upcoming MCU TV show seems set on continuing this trend. In the comics, Daredevil was constantly shown to swing through New York City akin to Spider-Man only by using his batons and billy clubs as opposed to organic web shooters like his longtime Marvel ally. While this was teased to an extent in Netflix’s Daredevil, it seems as though Daredevil: Born Again is fully committing to Matt’s more overt acrobatic abilities, something that continues the MCU’s best change about the character that links to his comic book counterpart.
