The WGA strike and the SAG-AFTRA strike have brought virtually all production in Hollywood to a halt. A few projects were in post-production and have been released over the past few months. But the studios will eventually run out of the content sitting in their queue.

She-Hulk Season 2?

According to Hollywood leaker MyTimetoShineHello on X (formerly Twitter), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will get a second season. To be fair, we are going into rumor territory here, as neither Disney nor Marvel Studios have confirmed this to be true.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was not an incredibly successful show on Disney’s streaming platform. In addition, Marvel (and superhero films) generally seem to be on a downward spiral. Whether this is from superhero fatigue, raising movie prices, or people preferring to stay at home instead of going to the theaters, it doesn’t bode well for movie studios.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law did manage to score some attention on social media. But the metrics regarding watch time and its audience score on Rotten Tomatoes (32%) signal little appetite.

Many fans of the TV show (and the Marvel Cinematic Universe) took issue with many aspects of the show, including the season finale which mocked Marvel movies as it broke the 4th wall in a very jarring way.

This rumor also comes only briefly after Disney CEO Bob Iger talked about Disney’s new goal to reduce the amount of content it produces and focus more on quality. And, of course, we can’t forget She-Hulk actress Tatiana Maslany taking aim at Bob Iger himself during the strike.

This isn’t to say that She-Hulk has no promise. But Jennifer Walters doesn’t seem to be a character that many Marvel fans are interested in (at least now). Even if the show teased a second season and utilized many MCU characters, including Bruce Banner (the Incredible Hulk), Emil Blonsky (Abomination), and Matt Murdock (Daredevil).

Again, She-Hulk season 2 is a rumor. But it will be curious to see what happens with Disney Plus and its many productions after the strikes are over. Will they try to resurrect old characters? Introduce new ones? Or forge ahead with the plans already in place before the strikes?
