Interestingly, extra gold plating could bring enhanced protection during alien attacks.

’ Carol Danvers is the most hardened version of the character through years of Marvel history, potentially making her prepared to lead this team to victory after so much loss.

The new version of Captain Marvel in Aliens Vs. Avengers is older, angrier, and more fiercely militarized than ever as she tries to put a stop to the horrifying Xenomorph invasion. On an Earth almost totally ravaged by the Alien monsters, she and the surviving Avengers are desperate for a way to save their planet and their people. Only Carol Danvers, Bruce Banner, and Miles Morales remain as confirmed Avengers on Earth, as the last of the Fantastic Four family, Valeria Richards, tragically succumbs to the Xenomorphs in an off-panel Chestburster attack.

There is still some hope for the heroes, as a Facehugger attack on Miles at the end of Alien vs. Avengers #1 revealed that Marvel’s symbiotes can overpower the Xenomorph. Picking up the pieces of this devastated Avengers roster, it seems that future issues will see this universe’s versions of Iron Man and Captain America finally join the series, alongside the older Black Panther, and his son with Storm, Azari. Alien

The Alien franchise, which began with Ridley Scott’s 1979 film, is a Sci-Fi series comprised of several horror films, games, and comic books centered on humanity’s encounters with a hostile extraterrestrial species known as Xenomorphs. Characterized by their lethal prowess and capability to reproduce at an alarming rate, these creatures pose a profound threat to human existence. The primary series protagonist, Ellen Ripley, acts as the voice of reason as she seeks to keep the creatures out of the hands of greed-driven corporate scientists.

As Marvel’s heroes wage war in the
Alien
crossover, their universe’s all-new and aggressive Captain Marvel is a strong leader for the most harrowing team of Avengers thus far.

As she leads the Avengers against the iconic aliens of Alien, there’s a possibility that Carol Danvers becomes the Marvel Universe’s equivalent of Sigourney Weaver’s character Ellen Ripley. Comparisons between the two characters have already circulated for a while, with Jamie McKelvie’s Captain Marvel #25 cover as part of the “Marvel vs Alien” variant series highlighting their similarities and appreciation for cute cat sidekicks in an homage to Ridley Scott’s first Alien film. Like Ripley in James Cameron’s 1986 sequel Aliens, Carol will go into battle with a team in an attempt to stop the Xenomorphs once and for all.

With Weaver and her legendary character unfortunately missing from the last few entries in the Alien franchise, it’s cool to cast Carol as an older woman furiously fighting against the frightening creatures in Hickman and Ribić’s series. Captain Marvel also has plenty of experience battling the Skrulls, which will come in handy, as a hybrid between that species and the Xenomorphs has already been teased. As Marvel’s heroes wage war in the Alien crossover, their universe’s all-new and aggressive Captain Marvel is a strong leader for the most harrowing team of Avengers thus far.
