So it wasn’t ‘Agatha’ all along?
Nearly 3 years ago, it was revealed that a solo spin-off series centering around Agatha Harkness was in the works at Disney+. While it was originally titled Agatha: House of Harkness, the name has changed several times since.
Soon it was retitled to Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Then it was renamed again to Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
Just a few months ago, the name received another name change, which we thought would be the final one. But we were wrong about that too.
Earlier today, Marvel Studios tweeted a brand new logo for the show. In the image, you can clearly see that the title had changed to Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe.
As DiscussingFilm points out, the post has now been taken down:
So we can’t really tell if Marvel is trolling us or not. Given Agatha’s well-known trickery, we’re willing to bet this all has something to do with the actual series. We just have no idea how.
What are your thoughts on this latest name change? Do you think it’ll be the last one? Sound off below!

Kathryn Hahn will be reprising her role as the titular witch with other returning WandaVision cast members including Emma Caulfied and Debra Jo Rupp. Joe Locke, and Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, Eric Andre, and Aubrey Plaza are also slated to appear. The latter is rumored to play the series’ antagonist.
WandaVision writer, producer, and showrunner Jac Schaeffer serves as writer and executive producer on the spinoff. Schaeffer has an overall deal with Marvel Studios and is also developing a Vision spin-off Vision Quest.
