Marvel has released a new video trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine‘s upcoming comic book team-up.
Deadpool & Wolverine: WWIII is a three-part miniseries that brings Joe Kelly and Adam Kubert together to tell the violent story of two of Marvel’s most legendary characters uniting as they are taken to the ends of the earth by a mysterious new foe named Delta who is ready to rip them to shreds. The action-packed video trailer released by Marvel features comic art from the upcoming issue, brought to life with exciting animations that show the violence that will unfold as Wolverine and Deadpool face their foes and save the world. Marvel has also revealed variant covers for the first issue by artists including Rob Liefeld, InHyuk Lee, Gabriele Dell’Otto and Todd Nauck. Deadpool & Wolverine: WWIII #1 goes on sale May 1.

Marvel promises more will be revealed about the new super-villain, Delta, and the group that is hunting Deadpool and Wolverine driving the action in the series. Delta has the power to “amplify a person’s abilities, strength and savagery to the ultimate limit”, but Marvel teases that fans will see the full extent of Delta’s power later in the series.
WWIII‘s Story Will Capitalize on Deadpool and Wolverine’s Unique Abilities
Acclaimed Deadpool writer Joe Kelly recently discussed with ComicBook.com the action that fans can expect in Deadpool & Wolverine: WWIII. “We’ve seen both guys get put through the physical ringer in many ways, and part of the fun is trying to one-up the next person, or whoever played with these characters before you, but always in service of the story,” he said.

Kelly went on to reveal that the miniseries focuses on Deadpool and Wolverine’s unique traits and uses them to propel the story on an emotional level. “We came up with a way to use these guys’ very, very unique abilities in a way that reflects what’s going on with them emotionally, which may sound like a stretch for body horror, but we tried, so we’ll see if it works.”
