When “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” arrived in 2018, no one quite knew how impactful the movie would be. The animation would swing into an Academy Award for Best Animated Film due to its stylistic animation and in-depth storyline.

While Miles Morales was introduced to the world in a bigger way than the comics, other iterations of Spider-Man also shined, including Spider-Man Noir, which was voiced by Nicolas Cage.
The almost Batman-esque Spider-Man Noir was so popular that it led to Marvel wanting to develop a live-action series of its own. Through plenty of fan pleas, Cage was asked to return to star as the eponymous hero.

During “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, Spider-Man Noir appeared in monochromatic colors, including the character himself, and the overworld in which he came from.
Naturally, fans are wanting to know if that same style will be added to the live-action series. An actor who will appear in the series has revealed that, teasing that Marvel could be releasing two versions of the “Spider- Noir” series.
Lukas Haas will star in the series in a currently unknown role. While speaking to Coming Soon, he revealed that the series may receive a black and white release, along with a color release.
“We filmed it in — I think it may come out in both black and white and color, but when we filmed it, the monitors were all black and white, so you got this feeling and it looked very, very authentic. To the point that I would actually go and look at the monitor and think I was looking at some older footage, but it was actually just a monitor of what was on the camera at the time.
They did a beautiful job with the filters and all that stuff, making it look like genuine old 1930s, black-and-white film. But obviously, just the writing and Nic is incredible. It’s just a really fun project and I cannot wait to see how it turns out.”
Marvel has been great about ensuring that continuity matches properties throughout its expansive catalog. Releasing “Spider-Noir” in black-and-white and color would make so much sense.
Though Haas’ comments have not yet been confirmed, it would be great for audiences to switch between watching the character and show in the classic noir color, or simply watching it in its normal delivery.
