Wonder Woman is one of the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe, with her combination of Amazon training and divine powers from the Greek gods making her a truly potent fighter. This is the case in DC’s mainstream universe and the new Absolute Universe, wherein the Amazon’s magical prowess is enhanced. As a result, there are certain villains from another publisher whom the heroine would decimate in battle.

Absolute Wonder Woman could easily defeat several notable Marvel villains, despite how powerful they may be. This includes several major Marvel antagonists, including a few who’ve fought a true god. From her combination of skills and inherent abilities, the Absolute Universe’s Amazing Amazon would be an amazingly versatile threat to some of Marvel’s most heinous enemies.

Loki’s Tricks Wouldn’t Be Enough to Stop Absolute Wonder Woman

First Appearance: Journey Into Mystery #85 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby

Based on the mischievous god from Norse mythology, Loki is the adopted brother of Thor and a member of Marvel’s version of the Aesir. Along with his superhuman physical faculties as a Frost giant, he’s also a genius with various magical tricks up his sleeve. These bewitch even the greatest Marvel heroes, namely his occasional clod of a brother, Thor.

While Loki might be able to easily vex the God of Thunder, another mythological foe could fare much better. Absolute Wonder Woman is already in a class of strength similar to Thor, and her magical powers would scare even Loki. She recognizes spells and knows how to make herself immune to them, having been raised in hell in this continuity by Circe (who’s usually an enemy of Wonder Woman). Thus, whatever powers Loki might have over the son of Odin would fail against the daughter of the witch of Aeaea.

The Crimson Dynamo Would Be a Tin Can Next to Absolute Wonder Woman

First Appearance: Tales of Suspense #46 by Stan Lee and Don Heck

Image via Marvel Comics

Crimson Dynamo is a title used by several Marvel villains and even heroes, with the ruddy armor worn by Russian equivalents to Iron Man. Compared to Tony Stark’s sleek armor, the Crimson Dynamo designs are usually bulky and almost tank-like, befitting their sometimes Soviet origins. These definitely pose a threat to the armored Avenger, but probably not to Absolute Wonder Woman.

Absolute Wonder Woman’s raw strength could overtake Crimson Dynamo, and that’s without getting into her weapons. Her massive sword, lasso and magical powers could decimate the armored Russian in many ways, with the Amazon slicing and dicing her opponent easily. Add in the fact that Crimson Dynamo’s armor is usually less advanced than Iron Man’s, and it’s “do svidaniya” for the Russian relic by way of the Absolute Universe Wonder Woman.

Green Goblin Would Die Again Fighting Absolute Wonder Woman

First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #14 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko

Image via Marvel Comics

Norman Osborn is one of the greatest Marvel villains of all time and one of the most iconic bad guys in all fiction. He was the first and most notable foe to use the Green Goblin identity, with the Goblin formula he created making him superhuman and insane. Now able to match wits and muscles with Spider-Man, he used his Goblin glider and bag of tricks to constantly ruin the life of Peter Parker.

Spider-Man Has Had Villainous Moments in Marvel History

While Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s most beloved heroes, he has had some villainous moments in Marvel comics and television.

Pumpkin bombs and laser fingers wouldn’t be enough to stop Absolute Wonder Woman, whose superhuman physical faculties are far beyond anything Green Goblin or Spider-Man could muster. His punches, while superhuman, would be like those of tickles to the Amazon, and she’s a much better fighter. Even Ultimate Green Goblin, a mutated monster in the original Ultimate Universe, wouldn’t threaten Absolute Wonder Woman much.

7

Lethality Won’t Protect Venom from Absolute Wonder Woman

First Appearance: Web of Spider-Man #18 by David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane

Image via Marvel Comics

Venom is another major Spider-Man villain, though this hasn’t been so since the character’s heyday in the 1990s. The character eventually transitioned into antihero status as a “lethal protector,” which is mostly how Eddie Brock’s characterization has remained when bonded with the symbiote. Venom is the strongest of Spidey’s enemies and the deadliest of his potential allies, having similar powers to the Web-Slinger that are greatly enhanced by the alien goo.

It’s also worth noting that Spider-Man is, at most, the strongest of the street-level Marvel heroes. Thus, regardless of their powers, his enemies usually don’t vex characters in higher-weight classes. Absolute Wonder Woman could physically contend with Venom and summon the fire and noise that could destroy the symbiote, be it through magical or other means. Her giant sword could cleave clumps of the symbiote off of Brock or other hosts, and she’s somewhat less forgiving than Spider-Man. This would see the iconic “black suit” sent to join its cruel master, Knull, in destruction.

The Rings of The Mandarin Could Not Overcome an Absolute Amazon

First Appearance: Tales of Suspense #50 by Stan Lee and Don Heck

Image via Marvel Comics

Debuting in the vein of a Fu Manchu-esque villain, The Mandarin is the perfect foil for his archenemy, Iron Man. Passing off alien Makluan rings as “magical,” he uses their incredible powers to vex his home country of China. This is an attempt to grow his political power and restore the country to a feudal state, and his mystical prowess further bolsters his physical strength.

10 Times Tony Stark Started Over as Iron Man

While Tony Stark has recently rebuilt himself as a modern-day Iron Knight, this isn’t the first time Iron Man has been forced to start all over again.

Absolute Wonder Woman could defeat The Mandarin by using true magic, with these abilities being able to match whatever elements his extraterrestrial rings could muster. From there, her speed and strength would utterly overwhelm him, making Iron Man look like a pauper in comparison. Likewise, while perhaps not as honed as her mainstream DC Universe incarnation, her warrior trainingwould likely best The Mandarin in pure combat.

5

Omega Red’s Carbonadium Isn’t Special Next to Absolute Wonder Woman

First Appearance: X-Men #4 by John Byrne and Jim Lee

Image via Marvel Comics

Omega Red is one of the most dangerous and sadistic mutants, with his evil coming into conflict with Wolverine and the X-Men on the regular. Having superhuman physical prowess, Omega Red also produces “death spores” that eat away at the life force of others, and his carbonadium coils can similarly drain the life energy from nearby beings. Add in his healing factor and the nearly indestructible nature of his coils, and he’s definitely a dangerous enemy.

Even with his advantages, Omega Red logically shouldn’t be too hard of a fight for Absolute Wonder Woman. Her superior strength and speed would allow her to avoid his coils and physically decimate him once her blows land. Likewise, her lasso would act as her own version of a carbonadium coil, and with her magical knowledge, she could whip up a spell that counteracts his death spores and perhaps even his healing factor, making much of his threat inert,

4

Kang Would Be Conquered by Absolute Wonder Woman

First Appearance: Fantastic Four #19 (as Rama-Tut) by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby

Image via Marvel Comics

Kang the Conqueror is one of the most major Marvel villains, even if this makes little sense. Lacking true powers and using mostly amorphous science fiction doohickeys, Kang is essentially a vastly inferior version of Doctor Doom. It’s never made much sense how he truly threatens entire teams, such as the Avengers and the Fantastic Four. If written logically, the villain would last mere minutes at most against almost any version of Wonder Woman.

10 Best Kang the Conqueror Comics Arcs, Ranked

Kang the Conqueror is a powerful villain poised to take the new Marvel era by storm. His story arcs are revealing of character and worth revisiting.

Absolute Wonder Woman has no reason to be challenged by Kang, as everything he could throw at her should be able to be dealt with easily. He’s not superhuman, and his exploits almost always involve him being regularly defeated by the Avengers. If faced by a magical Amazon who takes no prisoners, Kang’s last wish would be to travel back in time to keep his worst beating yet from happening.

3

Moonstone Could Challenge Absolute Wonder Woman – But Not for Long

First Appearance: Captain America #192 by Marv Wolfman and Frank Robbins

Image via Marvel Comics

Karla Sofen started as an enemy of Captain America before transitioning into more of a Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel villain. Once emulating Ms. Marvel among the Dark Avengers, her Kree gravity stone-derived powers allow her flight, intangibility, lasers and superhuman physical faculties. Along with her slight resistance to magic (in her intangible form), she just might be able to put up a fight against Wonder Woman.

Still, Absolute Wonder Woman’s overall abilities and tools could best Moonstone, perhaps even overcoming her magical resistance through more powerful spells. If anything, Diana’s lasso might also be able to bind her into her tangible form. She would be utterly vulnerable there, allowing the Amazon to take her down.

2

Sabretooth Might Be Overcome By the Absolute Amazon

First Appearance: Iron Fist #14 by Chris Claremont and John Byrne

Image via Marvel Comics

Sabretooth started as an enemy of Danny Rand, the Immortal Iron Fist, but he soon transitioned into an X-Men foe. He has a history with Wolverine and has similarly razor-sharp claws and a healing factor. He’s also much bigger and stronger, meaning that even Wolverine can more than struggle with him.

There are a lot of myths and misconceptions about Marvel’s X-Men.

Even with these skills, there’s some prey that even Victor Creed can’t kill. Absolute Wonder Woman could negate Sabretooth’s powers via magic before moving in and swiftly taking care of him with her sword and strength. Her lasso would contain him until he could be handled, and while his healing factor might pose some issues, there’s not much of a chance of him tagging her.

There’s One Goddess That Gorr Can’t Butcher

First Appearance: Thor: God of Thunder #12 by Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic

Gorr the God Butcher is one of Thor’s major foes from the past decade, with his story arc also adapted into the movie Thor: Love & Thunder. Using the Necrosword, he slayed various deities, eventually crossing paths with Thor. The weapon bolsters his strength and allows him to create constructs through its symbiote powers, but it still might not be able to kill a DC Comics goddess.

Absolute Wonder Woman has her massive sword to combat Gorr’s Necrosword, and given that it’s based on a symbiote, she could create fire and sound to weaken it. Likewise, her magical mastery far outweighs Gorr, who has no inherent abilities or knowledge. Separated from the Necrosword, Gorr also has no powers, so ultimately, Absolute Wonder Woman would eventually be able to wreck him.
