Deadpool began his career in the pages of The New Mutants and, since then, has teamed up with nearly everyone in the Marvel Universe, from mutants to Avengers and villains. Being a character that can break the fourth wall, Wade can show up anywhere but has certain soft spots for superheroes wearing an X. While never officially on the team, Deadpool has orbited the world of X-Men since his earliest days.
Wade has worked with several X-Men besides Wolverine and has been involved in some of the biggest mutant events. While Deadpool began as a villain to the X-Men, he has grown to become one of their most reliable allies and has teamed up with many of them throughout the years. Fans streaming Deadpool and Wolverine who arelooking for even more X-Men team-ups have quite a few options to explore in the comics!
10 Strongest Marvel Characters Deadpool Has Killed
Deadpool carried out a few serious mercenary contracts, though he also let his intrusive thoughts win and took out some of Marvel’s heaviest hitters.
10 Deadpool and Siryen Take On The Juggernaut
Creative Team: Mark Waid, Ian Churchill, Jason Minor, Dana Moreshead, Richard Starkings, and Michael Thomas
In Mark Waid’s 1994 Deadpool miniseries, Wade teams up with Banshee and Siryen when Black Tom breaks out of prison and comes for Deadpool. The five-issue run is packed with action as Deadpool tries to protect Siryen from Black Tom’s soldiers and goes toe-to-toe with the infamous Juggernaut. While most of the five issues have Deadpool protecting Siryen, she ends up saving Wade from the clutches of Juggernaut and finding a way for them to escape.
Although this was only Wade’s second solo series, Waid’s short run on the character began to bring the character into the mix of other stories. This element would be essential for Deadpool moving forward. The series was also the first time Deadpool would face off with Juggernaut, which established Wade as a serious player in Marvel, able to go against some of the most powerful characters of the franchise.
9 Deadpool And Archangel Are A Match Made in Heaven
Creative Team: Rick Remender, Jerome Opena, Dean White, and VC Corey Petit
In 2010’s Uncanny X-Force, Deadpool was recruited by Archangel to join the new covert X-Force team consisting of Wade, Wolverine, Psylocke, Fantomex, and Angel. During its 35-issue run, Deadpool and the other members of X-Force face all manner of threats from Apocolypse, The Brotherhood of Mutants, and even other heroes such as the Captain Britain Corps. While Deadpool fought with every team member throughout their time together, he and Archangel developed a unique bond.
In Uncanny X-Force #4, Archangel is severely wounded, and Wade saves him by feeding him pieces of his own flesh to build his strength and rejoin the fight. Deadpool and Archangel make a near-perfect team together, with Angel able to bring Wade into the middle of the battle before swooping down to land the finishing blow. Wade would develop deeper relationships with some of the other members of X-Force, but he and Archangel claimed some of the most memorable moments from the series.
8 Deadpool and Fantomex Have A Complicated Relationship
Creative Team: Rick Remender, Esad Rubić, John Lucas, Matthew Wilson, and VC Corey Petit
During Deadpool’s time with X-Force, Wade and Fantomex formed an unlikely friendship through their adventures. After Fantomex kills a child clone of Apocalypse, Deadpool struggles to come to terms with his actions, and the two of them butt-heads throughout the series. Wade and Fantomex eventually develop mutual respect and even become somewhat friends.
Deadpool and Fantomex are the most alike on the X-Force team, which makes their dynamic one of the most interesting of the group. Their banter between each other adds humor to the series, with Fantomex’s serious nature conflicting with Deadpool’s absurd humor and behavior. While Deadpool is no stranger to crossing the line, Fantomex takes that a step further and allows the series to explore some of the more profound aspects of Wade’s morals when compared to his.
Fantomex: 10 Things You Need To Know About X-Force’s Most Lethal Member
X-Force has plenty of great members, but Fantomex might just be one of the strangest and coolest members of the team.
7 Magneto Makes Deadpool An X-Man
Creative Team: Rick Remender and Leinil Francis Yu
In 2014’s Avengers & X-Men: Axis event, Magneto recruited Deadpool into a new version of the X-Men to defeat the Red Skull, who had overtaken the psychic entity, Onslaught. Wade fought alongside numerous heroes and villains during the attack and played a pivotal role in their victory by saving Tony Stark. Wade even ends up saving the day when his severed head convinces a young clone of Apocalypse, Genesis, that good is still inside of him and helps to defeat the Red Skull.
While he and Magneto don’t fight together, the event is one of the only times Deadpool was an official member of the X-Men, and had a significant impact on the event instead of just being comedic relief. Magneto recruiting Deadpool for this massive battle shows how the character has grown in popularity among readers and with characters in the Marvel Universe.
6 Deadpool Saves Apocalypse More Than Once
Creative Team: Rick Remender, Esad Rubić, John Lucas, Matthew Wilson, and VC Corey Petit
One of the first missions that Deadpool went on with the X-Force was to kill a clone of Apocalypse and discover he was a child. Fantomex kills the child, and Wade struggles to come to terms with it, but the young Apocalypse returns when Fantomex creates another clone, Evan, in secret and raises him to be good. Deadpool becomes a strong mentor in Evan’s life and protects him as he grows into his destiny.
Deadpool’s time with Evan showed the Merc with a Mouth had a bigger heart than everyone thought. Not only did Deadpool save Evan’s life multiple times, but he also was a friend to him when he had no one else. Surprisingly, Deadpool’s influence on Evan is most likely one of the major reasons he did not turn out to be Apocalypse.
5 Deadpool Gets Groovy With Dazzler
Creative Team: Gail Simone, Udon Comics Company, and Dave Sharpe
Of the many team-ups the merc with the mouth has found himself in, few are as fun as when Wade meets up with the X-Men’s number one pop star, Dazzler. First teaming up in Deadpool #67 (1997), Deadpool becomes a bodyguard for Dazzler when a crazed fan is targeting her. Deadpool is able to save Dazzler and her concert with the help of a shrunken version of the Spider-Man villain Rhino, who he keeps as a pet.
Deadpool and Dazzler teaming up is just pure fun, with the two singing and dancing as they slay vampires and fight villains. Dazzler lets Deadpool lean into his weird and funny side, which is always when Wade is at his best, resulting in a more light-hearted team-up paired with exciting action. While only teaming up twice, Deadpool is always a welcome member of Dazzler’s tour and is a duo comics desperately needs more of.
15 Best Deadpool Team-Ups In Marvel Comics
Fans loved seeing Deadpool and Wolverine team-up, but the Merc-with-a-Mouth has also hilariously teamed up with heroes like Cable and Spider-Man.
4 Deadpool Goes Rouge
Creative Team: Gerry Duggan and Pepe Larraz
After spending time with the X-Force and X-Men, Wade got his chance at the big leagues when he was recruited into the Uncanny Avengers led by Captain America alongside other heroes such as Rogue, Quicksilver, and Doctor Voodoo. Deadpool and Rogue instantly had chemistry, with the two fighting alongside each other in numerous different battles and even sharing a kiss. In one of their later battles, Deadpool saves Rogue from a nuclear explosion by holding her hand during the blast as they both melt away from the heat.
While the romance was short-lived, Deadpool and Rogue develop a deep love and respect for each other, with her being one of the only members of the X-Men able to tolerate Wade. The two are also a powerful duo in the comics; using their powers together, Rogue is able to take on Wade’s cancer and temporarily heal him of his facial scars. Rouge and Deadpool perfectly complement each other, and their time together in both Uncanny Avengers runs pushes both characters’ abilities to new limits.
3 Domino & Deadpool Make A Perfect Duo
Creative Team: Rob Liefeld, Fabian Nicieza, Steve Buccellato, and Joe Rosen
Domino and Deadpool made their comic debut in the same issue of New Mutants, and they have had a long history together, both as enemies and partners. Domino was originally part of Cable’s Six Pack group but has become a member of X-Force, X-Men, Mercs for Money and more. Using her lucky powers, Domino has been involved in some major X-Men events and taken on some of the more powerful members of the X-Men franchise.
Domino and Wade have been in each other’s worlds since the beginning, often at odds but sharing a mutual respect. With Domino’s powers of luck and Wade’s inability to die, their team-ups usually result in great action and fun dynamics. While Wade has expressed feelings for Domino, their relationship is strictly platonic and rooted in their mutual enjoyment of mercenary work.
2 Deadpool and Cable Are A Classic Team
Creative Team: Fabian Nicieza, Mark Brooks, and Udon Comics Company
Deadpool and Cable are among the most famous duos to come out of the ’90s and remain an iconic team. Starting as enemies, Wade Wilson and Cable fought each other many times while Cable was leading X-Force until eventually teaming up to stop the spread of a deadly virus in their first team-up series, Cable and Deadpool. Through their adventures together, the unlikely duo have traveled the multiverse and back, saving the universe and raising a baby together.
Cable and Deadpool feel like characters who are always destined to be together. With Deadpool’s first appearance being on a mission to kill Cable, it was inevitable that the two would cross paths again, but their journey from foes to friends is one of the best character dynamics in Marvel. Deadpools adventures with Cable helped him to expand past street-level mutants and into bigger storylines with more powerful adversaries.

Deadpool and Wolverine are two of Marvel Comics’ most popular characters. Their crossovers prove that they should team up (or fight) more often.
1 Wolverine and Deadpool Are the Best Duo In Comics
Creative Team: Larry Hama, Adam Kubert, Fabio Laguna, Mark Farmer, Tim Townsend, Pat Brosseau, and Marie Javins
Wolverine and Deadpool have had a long history together before appearing on the big screen. The two first faced off in the pages of Wolverine #88 (by Larry Hama, Adam Kubert, Fabio Laguna, Marie Jarvins, and Pat Brosseau), where the two briefly fought and Deadpool blew up Logan with a grenade. The former Weapon X members have continued to build relationships through the years, battling supervillains, werewolves, robots, and each other.
Logan and Wade have come a long way since their first fight. While usually a reluctant alliance, the two have grown to respect and admire each other. The two former Weapon X subjects complement each other in every way, from their powers, personalities, outlook on life, and being a hero. Whether they are with or against each other, Wolverine and Deadpool together continue to be a fan-favorite combination and a guarantee of a good, violent time.
