Venomverse Reborn #3!

Venom, Marvel’s best known symbiote, has had several variants, but the deadliest could be revealed in Venomverse Reborn #3. The issue is set to have four stories within it, one of which teases an answer to which Venom is deadliest. With each addition to Marvel’s symbiote universe, it’s likely that the klyntar species as a whole will continue to have stronger variants and iterations.

Venomverse Reborn #3 features four stories with various writers and artists. The stories include “Five Questions Part 3,” “Beyond the Void,” “Cannibalism Comix,” and “The Kid Who Loved Venom.” The creators behind them are Al Ewing, Danilo S. Beyruth, Ceci de la Cruz, Steve Foxe, Kei Zama, Antonio Fabela, Ryan North, Matthew Waite, Gerry Duggan, Brent Peeples, and Romulo Fajardo Jr.

Lettering for the entire issue is done by Travis Lanham. The issue will continue the setup of symbiote stories set up by the previous two, which are expanding Marvel’s Venom-centric storytelling.

Venomverse is Set to Expand Marvel’s Variant Universe

A preview for Venomverse Reborn #3 from Marvel shows Eddie Brock teasing the most dangerous variant, while a Venom Brood is seen around him. Considering the way the Brood operate as a hivemind, it could be implied that they would form one large, collective symbiote variant. Other parts of the preview feature alternate Earths, in which Venom plays differing roles. Silk and Web-Weaver both make an appearance, while Venom fits the role of a hero with fans in the last story inclusion of the preview. It stands to reason that the Venomverse would have just as many alterations and dangers as the Spider-Verse, particularly given how much the two can coincide with one another.

Venom-centric iterations of alternate Marvel heroes, villains, and species would make for some truly deadly opponents, particularly in the case of the Brood.

Each Marvel symbiote has proven to have its own strengths and is capable of being incredibly dangerous to hosts, Marvel’s heroes, and innocent bystanders. From Scream and Carnage to Venom and Toxin, there is no shortage of dangerous symbiotes. However, Venom variants are not the same as his symbiote offspring, opening the door for even more mayhem in Marvel Comics. Already the Klyntar collective and its rulers have showcased their dangerous skillsets on their own, such as Knull in the King in Black event. Venom-centric iterations of alternate Marvel heroes, villains, and species would make for some truly deadly opponents, particularly in the case of the Brood.

Merging Symbiotes With The Brood Would Equal Major Disaster

Considering the way the Brood operate as a hivemind, it could be implied that they would form one large, collective symbiote variant.

The Brood deliver terror to their victims upon infection and are known for getting pleasure from harming others. While symbiotes often cause harm, they usually seek to empower their hosts in order to be empowered themselves. Carnage is a major outlier due to Cletus Kasady’s demented thirst for blood via murder. Adding a Venom symbiote to the Brood could create a similar level of terror and murderous glee within the species. Venom and Carnage are often enough to handle on their own; adding a symbiote to the Brood is a recipe for horrifying disaster within the Venomverse.

Venomverse Reborn #3 will be available August 28 from Marvel Comics.
