Mortal Kombat 1, which is actually the 12th main instalment in the series and serves as a franchise reboot, fights its way onto PS5 on 19th September.
Developer NetherRealm says that this new entry will “usher in a new era of the iconic franchise with a new fighting system, game modes, and fatalities”. Of course, the character reveals – and future character speculation – have already begun, with the hype building ahead of its upcoming release. You can grab a copy here:
If you’ve missed the news, EA Sports’ FIFA series isn’t allowed to be called FIFA anymore. So here we are with the much more clunky-sounding EA Sports FC 24, launching on PS5 and PS4 on 22nd September.
It might not have FIFA’s backing, but there’s no need to worry – EA Sports FC 24 still features 19,000+ fully licensed players, 700+ teams, 100+ stadiums and 30+ leagues across world football, with all your favourite clubs and stars being included just as they always have been. We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know about the game ahead of release if you’d like to learn more.
On 17th October, everyone’s favourite blue blur speeds onto PS5 and PS4 in Sonic Superstars.
This new platformer will have players setting off on an all-new 2D adventure through the mystical Northstar Islands as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. All-new Emerald powers are also in play, allowing you to move and attack in “dynamic new ways”. Early impressions have been positive, with features like a series-first co-op campaign seeming to be welcome additions to the regular formula. You can treat yourself to a copy below.
Here it is. The big one. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 lands on PS5 on 20th October.
Peter Parker and Miles Morales both return for an all-new adventure in the critically acclaimed series, once again travelling across New York and coming up against new stories, new powers, and iconic villain, Venom. You’ll be able to quickly swap between each Spider-Man in the game, and New York is said to be bigger than ever before, featuring two new boroughs – Brooklyn and Queens.
More pre-order options are available here. Oh, and don’t forget the gorgeous Spider-Man PS5 console and Dualsense controller.
