While it had been rumored, The Marvels‘ final trailer officially confirms that Tessa Thompson is returning to the MCU as Valkyrie, following her adventures in Thor: Love and Thunder. It is unclear if this is only a cameo or if Valkyrie may have a supporting role throughout The Marvels. Why Marvel Studios decided to show Valkyrie inthe final trailer a few days before the movie’s theatrical release is unclear.

However, another major cameo that keeps getting hinted at is the X-Men, who could possibly factor into The Marvels. Fury states that “They are here,” as The Marvels trailer teases that audiences should “be there for the moment that changes everything.” This comes shortly after one of the recent marketing videos focused extra long on the “X” in “comes next,” suggesting that the mutants are possibly involved in the sequel.

Lastly, a mystery character is spotted towards the end of The Marvels trailer, which many are speculating to be Captain Marvel as Binary. Whoever the figure is who is walking past Monica, they are wearing a similar uniform as Binary, but it could very well be someone else.
