In a thrilling announcement at the Marvel Comics: Spider-Man and His Venomous Friends panel during New York Comic Con, Executive Editor Nick Lowe and writer Joe Kelly dropped a bombshell that has Marvel fans buzzing. The highly anticipated trailer for the new arc, Amazing Spider-Man: 8 Deaths of Spider-Man, made its debut, featuring breathtaking, never-before-seen artwork!

The 10-part saga, written by Joe Kelly with art by Ed McGuinness, is set to begin in Amazing Spider-Man #61, launching on November 13. The storyline picks up after the explosive events of Blood Hunt, with the Marvel Universe turned upside down. Most notably, Doctor Doom is now the Sorcerer Supreme, taking over the role from Doctor Strange—but, of course, Doom has his own unique approach to wielding such power.

In a surprising twist, Doom has tasked Spider-Man with a mission that Strange once handled: saving the world from a sinister god and his terrifying minions. To help Spidey in this seemingly impossible task, Doom grants him a new, magic-infused suit—and not just one life, but eight extra lives! But even with these mystical upgrades, the trailer hints that Spider-Man’s journey will be fraught with peril, as he faces death after death, only to be reborn each time.

The trailer teases both the new powers granted by Spidey’s enchanted suit and the deeper mystery behind the magical conflict he’s now embroiled in. This epic, action-packed storyline promises to push Spider-Man beyond his limits as he takes on foes that no web-slinger has ever faced before.

Marvel fans can catch the full saga starting November 13, when Amazing Spider-Man #61 hits local comic shops. For a sneak peek at the trailer and more updates, head over to Marvel.com!
