The show’s director revealed the requirements he had to meet in order to establish the future of the MCU.

Although the Secret Invasion TV series didn’t exactly live up to fans’ high expectations, it still had a pretty big impact on the MCU, setting up the events to come.

And while it was no secret that the next big screen installment in the franchise, The Marvels, would pick up right after the events of the TV show, it also paved the way for another future MCU movie.

In an interview with Screen Rant, the show’s director, Ali Selim, revealed the requirements he was given to continue building the future of the cinematic universe.

And aside from sending Nick Fury into space, which is exactly where we saw him in The Marvels trailer, he was told to make sure that James Rhodes’ legs don’t work in Armor Wars.

Armor Wars was originally announced as another TV series, but was later promoted to a full feature film and will take place after Phase Five of the Cinematic Universe.

If the big reveal in Secret Invasion means that Rhodey was replaced by a Skrull right after 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, he must have missed out on many extremely important events, including the death of his friend Tony Stark.

Although almost nothing is known about the plot of the upcoming movie, this turn of events will undoubtedly provide for a lot of drama surrounding the character.

Hopefully, it will provide a more compelling story than Secret Invasion, which turned out to be bland and uninspiring.

Either way, Armor Wars is still a long way from being released, as it is not even clear in which phase it will take place, phase six or phase seven.

The next MCU movie, The Marvels, is scheduled to be released relatively soon, on November 10, 2023.

As for the next Marvel TV show, it will be Loki season 2, which will be released on October 6, 2023.

Do you think Rhodey is an interesting enough character to get his own solo movie?
