Marvel Comics has just unveiled a half-dozen upcoming Ultimate titles, bringing some fan-favorite characters into the spotlight.
As revealed in a press release from Marvel Comics, this summer will mark the biggest yet for the new Ultimate line of comic book titles. Not only are all five ongoing Ultimate titles currently on a collision course with one another, but one of the most beloved characters of the modern era is at the heart of it. As Miles Morales heads towards Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, everyone from the Ultimate Black Panther to the Ultimate Spider-Man is similarly being set up to discover exactly what part they will have to play in the story to come. And, to the delight of fans everywhere, one of these astonishing figures just so happens to be the Scarlet Witch of Earth-6160, who will be making her debut in the pages of Ultimates #14.

On top of the events of Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, the Ultimate line of titles are all building up to the inevitable return of the Maker, the villainous variant of Reed Richards responsible for the reality of Earth-6160 as it stands today. When the Maker uncovered this brave new world in the pages of 2023’s Ultimate Invasion by Jonathan Hickman and Bryan Hitch, he used his knowledge of both general and deeply buried history to alter its natural trajectory. As such, the Maker was able to install his own, shadowy regime to lord over the world, all while preemptively eliminating nearly every single hero who could possibly rise up to stop him.

All-star writer Deniz Camp recently opened up about what fans can expect from Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion. Camp described the series as “an Ultimate Universe-wide story,” promising that “there might be a few life-changing revelations for both Miles and the Ultimates” cast of characters along the way. “I don’t want to ruin anything, but readers are going to learn more about a number of Ultimate characters, and some of the Ultimates characters are going to learn new things about themselves.”
Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion #2, Ultimate Black Panther #8, The Ultimates #14, Ultimate Spider-Man #19, Ultimate Wolverine #7, and Ultimate X-Men #17 will all be on sale this July from Marvel Comics.
