Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 #1
We’re almost halfway through March, and with a new week comes a new set of Marvel comics. New lines have slowed this week, as happens from time to time, but hey, not every week needs a dozen new comic lines to read.
This week sees the introduction of something that a lot of Spider-Man fans have been waiting for — Symbiote Spider-Man 2099. Miguel O’Hara will be teaming up with a new Symbiote to help take down the Venom of 2099, which has bonded with O’Hara’s half-brother, Kron Stone. It sounds incredible, and looks even better, with gorgeous cover art from Leinil Francis Yu.
Here’s how Marvel describes the new series:
Miguel O’Hara, A.K.A. SPIDER-MAN 2099, is facing a hostile takeover – of his own body! Kron Stone, the VENOM of 2099, wages an all-out assault on Alchemax, and the only hope of stopping him lies with the power awakened by a top-secret project gone terribly wrong. What must Miguel sacrifice to seal the bond with his new symbiote – his body? His mind? His very soul?!
We’re also getting a new Ghost Rider series, subtitled Final Vengeance, which sees the Spirit of Vengeance take on a new host. Round it out with Black Widow & Hawkeye, a new series that sees Clint Barton falsely accused of an assassination and a Symbiote-powered Natasha Romanoff coming to his rescue. It’s a small week, sure, but it’s an exciting one nonetheless.
