Kang the Conqueror is a major threat in Venom War, which promises to be one of Marvel’s biggest events of the year.

On the heels of Marvel announcing that Doctor Doom will replace Kang the Conqueror as the MCU’s next Big Bad, Venom War is pitting the two mad geniuses against each other. The just-launched Venom War is one of Marvel’s biggest events of the year, and it seems that Doom will play a major role in ending this war. With all of these powerful and intelligent characters involved, the Venom War is unlike anything the Marvel Universe has seen before.

There are tons of characters who all have stakes in the Venom War. Naturally, Dylan Brock, Eddie Brock, and Peter Parker are at the heart of the event and will be the ones most changed by the outcome. But they’re not the only ones involved. Most heroes and villains on Earth will be drawn into the war in some way or another. As revealed in the solicitations for Venom War: Fantastic Four #1 by Adam Warren and Joey Vazquez, Doctor Doom might just be the most important one of all.

Four more dragged into the War! The Fantastic Four may not have much history with Venom—beyond helping Spider-Man capture the symbiote way back when—but when both Doctor Doom and Kang the Conqueror start getting involved in the war… now we’ve got the FF’s attention! It’s a wild battle of mad geniuses that spans thousands of years and also the space of a breath—with stakes that only the Fantastic Four could fathom!

With Doctor Doom’s involvement, the Fantastic Four have also decided to get involved, if only to keep an eye on Doctor Doom. Considering Doctor Doom is now the Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel Universe, the Fantastic Four might be the only ones who can save Eddie Brock. But even they might not have what it takes.

Epic Venom War Trailer Sees Marvel’s Symbiotes Enter the Ring for the Ultimate Wrestling Match

A new trailer for Marvel’s Venom War event sees Eddie Brock enter a wrestling ring and call out his son to face him in the ultimate symbiote showdown.

Doctor Doom Is Orchestrating The Venom War

During the events of Venom #25 by Al Ewing, CAFU, Ken Lashley, Sergio Fernández Dávila and Julius Ohta, Eddie Brock and Doom end up traveling through time together. Doom does not enjoy this trip, and after Eddie leaves, Doom travels to the future. It’s during this future adventure that Doom becomes aware of the upcoming Venom War. It’s strongly implied that Doom is manipulating the events of Venom War to punish Eddie for the disrespect he gave Doom during Venom #25. If Doom is allowed to have his way, it likely won’t end well for Eddie, which is why the Fantastic Four are just the heroes he needs, even if he doesn’t know it.

Another major force that’s getting involved is Kang the Conqueror, who had a surprising connection to Eddie Brock. After Eddie Brock gained his King in Black powers and was capable of traveling through time, he wasn’t really able to control it. It was Kang the Conqueror who helped Eddie learn how to control his time-traveling abilities. Now, he’s arrived to oversee the Venom War as well.

Kang The Conqueror Is Another Threat To Venom

The Venom War is shaping up to be one of the biggest events Marvel has, and it’ll change the lives of tons of different characters. From the Fantastic Four to Wolverine, it seems just about everyone is involved in the war for the Venom symbiote. While Eddie truly wants the Venom symbiote for the safety of everyone, it doesn’t seem like anyone else agrees with that. While Dylan and Peter both want the Venom symbiote for their own reasons, it seems Doctor Doom and Kang the Conqueror might ultimately be the ones who decide who Marvel’s next Venom host will be.
