The seemingly unstoppable assassin Bullseye has been a part of Matt Murdock’s world ever since his first appearance in the pages of 1975’s Daredevil #131 by writer Marv Wolfman and artist William Robert Brown. In Bullseye’s earliest outings, he developed a deep-seated hatred for and obsession with Daredevil, believing the hero to have ruined his reputation as an expert marksman following a devastating defeat at the hero’s hands.
In the years that followed, Bullseye would come into conflict with Daredevil on numerous occasions. The most infamous of these still stands for many fans as Bullseye’s murder of Elektra in the pages of 1981’s Daredevil #181 by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson. Although Elektra ultimately recovered from this untimely demise, her death was a turning point for Daredevil as a character, not to mention for his longstanding rivalry against Bullseye.

Marvel finally unmasks its new corporate God of Thunder — and he has ties to one of Thor’s most obscure stories.
In recent months, Matt Murdock’s life has undergone a further series of drastic shifts, all thanks to his trip into the bowels of Hell and back. While Daredevil did indeed defeat the demonic Beast worshipped by the villainous Hand, he was followed back to Earth by a series of demons of his own. As a result, some of Matt Murdock’s closest friends and allies have ended up possessed by these demons, including Ben Urich and even the X-Men’s very own Wolverine. So far, Matt has been more than capable of freeing his friends from their demonic tormentors, although he hasn’t gotten any closer to figuring out exactly why these infernal enemies have been unleashed on Earth in the first place.
