This May, get ready to meet the all-new, all-different X-Men in X-Men #16 from Marvel Comics. But these aren’t the merry mutants you know and love… This is the 3K X-Men, something that’s been teased since the series premiered last year.

Per a teaser from Marvel, the issue will be written by Jed MacKay, with art by Netho Díaz and a cover by Ryan Stegman… And that’s sort of all we’ve got at the moment (other than that the issue will go on sale on May 7). If you haven’t been reading X-Men, there’s a secret cabal of characters — the only one we know is in the group for sure is Professor Xavier’s evil sister Cassandra Nova — who have been turning adults into mutants, often with devastating results.

Well, it seems like one of the goals of the group is to create their own team of X-Men, which you can glimpse below. Who these new characters are, and what they — and by extension what 3K – want, is TBA. More info should be coming from the publisher soon. But in the meantime? Speculate wildly.
