Anticipation is rife regarding the upcoming Marvel Rivals Season 2. However, Marvel is seeking to turn the millions of players enjoying the game into comic readers. To that end, they are offering a special “Unlimited Thing Skin” to Marvel Unlimited subscribers.
Marvel Comics has already sought to capitalize on the popularity of Marvel Rivals with a Marvel Infinity comic based on the shooter. The upcoming issues will tie into the game’s new season, with a storyline centered around the Hellfire Gala and Mutant nation of Krakoa. The first chapter will release on Friday, April 11th, with new chapters releasing weekly on the following Thursdays.
The comic will find several heroes traveling to Krakoa for the best party ever. Unfortunately, a number of Ultron drones crash the festivities as well. This leaves Emma Frost, Magik, Psylocke and Storm rallying their allies to repel the invading robots. However, Ultron himself seems curiously absent from the conflict. This raises questions as to what the malevolent artificial intelligence is planning and just where they might be found.
Subscribers to the Marvel Unlimited service will be able to redeem a unique “The Unlimited Thing” skin for use in Marvel Rivals. Starting on April 25, all paid Marvel Unlimited subscribers will receive a redemption code for the skin. The code will be sent to the registered e-mail tied to their Marvel Unlimited account.
Additionally, Marvel is offering potential subscribers a special incentive to sign up for the Marvel Unlimited service. For a limited time, new subscribers can receive 50% off their first two months using the code THING50. However, only subscribers who set up their accounts before April 16, 2025 will be sent the code for “The Ultimate Thing” skin. Anyone who signs up after that date will be ineligible.
