It’s been three years since Dominique Thorne was introduced as Riri Williams/Ironheart in 2022’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and we’re finally only a few months away from her miniseries premiere on Disney+.
We’re still waiting for a trailer, but now Marvel Television has released four new stills of Thorne in the Ironheart suit.

Thorne first portrayed Riri Williams in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” when she becomes an important poker chip in the political maneuvering between Wakanda, Namor’s (Tenoch Huerta) underwater kingdom of Talokan, and the United States.
While studying at MIT, Williams invents a vibranium detector which is used to find the rare substance in the ocean. When Namor demands Williams be delivered to him, Shuri (Letitia Wright) goes to meet her, and both are later kidnapped by Namor’s forces.
Not counting rumors and speculation, most of what we know about “Ironheart” is confined to the official description of the series: “Set after the events of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ Marvel Television’s “Ironheart” pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos).”
Along with the talent already mentioned, the series will star Lyric Ross (“This Is Us”), Alden Ehrenreich (“Solo: A Star Wars Story”), Manny Montana (“Good Girls”), Regan Aliyah (“XO, Kitty”), Matthew Elam (“The Many Saints of Newark”), and Anji White (“Fargo”).
A number of actors have been cast in “Ironheart” in undisclosed roles and one of these in particular has sparked rumors that Marvel fans could finally be getting a villain whose arrival has been guessed at since 2021’s “WandaVision.” Sacha Baron Cohen will appear in “Ironheart,” and many believe he will be playing Mephisto – a devilish entity who, in the comics, helped empower the very hood that gives Parker Robbins his powers.
Marvel’s “Ironheart” will consist of six episodes and premieres on Disney+ on June 24.
