Marvel has revealed a visionary new comic that will reveal the final fate of The Fantastic Four villain Doctor Doom this May.
According to a Marvel press release, legendary creators Jonathan Hickman and Sanford Greene will come together for Doctor Doom’s “final journey” with a one-shot story titled Doom #1. In the comic, Victor Von Doom will team up with one of the few people he actually respects — Valeria Richards (originally von Doom). The two will set out to attain a cosmic status, wielding more power than any human has wielded before, and save the universe from the cosmic entity Galactus. Marvel teases that the new story “will encapsulate everything that makes Doom one of pop culture’s greatest villains in one standalone saga perfect for all fans.” Doom #1 will go on sale on May 15.
