Marvel Reveals Disney What If? Fantastic Four Homage Covers

Marvel Comics and Disney are teaming up once again for a series of What If? Fantastic Four Homage Covers that will roll out as variants, starting in March.

Unlike some of these variants that are, shall we say, a little all over the place, these will all hit as variants on Fantastic Four, starting with March 26’s Fantastic Four #28. While all of the covers are TBD, the publisher has revealed variants for Fantastic Four #30-#32.

Per Marvel, “The new batch reimagines two covers by the legendary Jack Kirby: Fantastic Four #11, the first appearance of the havoc-wreaking villain Impossible Man; and Fantastic Four #173, one of the team’s most memorable showdowns with the planet-consuming Galactus. Also included are fresh takes on Mike Wieringo’s Fantastic Four #60 cover, the start of Weiringo and Mark Waid’s acclaimed early 2000s run; and John Byrne’s Fantastic Four #282 cover, part of his influential run that saw She-Hulk join the team.”

All of this is part of the FF’s big year that includes the One World Under Doom event, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps hitting theaters. You can check out the covers and their release dates and info, below. They’ll also be released as Black and White variants, which are not pictured.
