Since she’s present for Peter Parker’s famous spider bite and his first secret mission where he discovers his powers, Nico Minoru is this Spider-Man’s first ally when he begins his superhero journey in this timeline. Though it was already revealed that Nico would be in the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man animated series, it’s a surprise that she will take on such an important role in this version of events. As the daughter of evil wizard supervillains that are part of a major crime ring in LA, it’s still unknown how Nico ends up in New York City with her new foster mom, Susan O’Hara.

The goth superhero’s origin being combined with Spidey’s could make his world more supernatural, and it remains to be seen if her Staff of One, the PRIDE, or the rest of her Runaways family could potentially appear.
