The Thing is set to clobber some of the Marvel Universe’s most epic villains in his own solo comic book series. The Thing’s new solo series will debut just ahead of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which marks the character’s MCU debut.
This May, Ben Grimm will star in a five-issue limited series written by Tony Fleecs (Venom War: Wolverine) with art by Justin Mason (Spider-Punk). Marvel teases that the series will see The Thing step away from The Fantastic Four to take down a criminal conspiracy with ties to his own childhood on Yancy street — and he’ll find himself fighting his way to the top as a “one-man clobberin’ machine”. When one of the villains puts out a huge hit on him, Grimm will battle classic Marvel villains, including Bullseye and the unstoppable Juggernaut.
