The Crown breakout Emma Corrin’s mysterious character in Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine movie has finally been revealed.
According to the upcoming film’s official U.S. copyright listing, Corrin will indeed be portraying the role of X-Men villain Cassandra Nova, which has long been the subject of speculation among fans. Created by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely in 2001, Cassandra Nova was introduced in the comics as Professor X’s de facto twin sister, who’s hellbent on enacting revenge against Charles. Deadpool & Wolverine marks the first time that the mutant will be adapted into live-action. It will definitely be interesting to see how Cassandra will factor into the titular duo’s multiversal adventure. Like Professor X, she’s expected to have powerful telepathic abilities.
X-Men: First Class Director Teases Similarities Between Deadpool 3 & Kick-Ass Reboot
X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn shares his initial reaction to learning about Deadpool 3’s similarities with the upcoming Kick-Ass 3.
Last Aug. 2, Corrin had the chance to tease their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut by describing it as an “absolute mind-f—.” They also expressed their excitement in playing an antagonist for the first time. “I feel really excited to play a villain,” they said. “I haven’t done that, and it’s an itch I want to scratch.” However, the Golden Globe winner admitted that they were initially intimidated by the MCU’s interconnecting storylines since they’re not “a Marvel person.”
Despite initially being coy about her involvement in Deadpool & Wolverine during a previous interview, the U.S. copyright listing also confirmed Jennifer Garner is indeed reprising her role as Elektra. This will serve as Garner’s second collaboration with Levy and Ryan Reynolds, after previously working together in Netflix’s The Adam Project movie. Also joining Reynolds’ Wade Wilson/ Deapool and Hugh Jackman’s Logan/ Wolverine in the upcoming R-rated threequel are returning cast members Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, and Karan Soni as Dopinder.

No. Maybe. … Maybe.” Like Brolin, Loki star Tom Hiddleston is also being coy about his potential appearance, after its first official trailer revealed that the Time Variance Authority will have a significant presence in the movie. “I don’t know, and if I did… I might not be allowed to tell you. I truly don’t know, Marvel are correctly protective of their information. I’ve seen the trailer, it looks good.”
Without confirming nor denying which of the casting rumors surrounding Deadpool & Wolverine are true, Levy previously teased the multiple guest stars they were able to secure for the movie. “What blew my mind is how easy some of those cameos have been,” Levy said. “People love Deadpool. People love Ryan [Reynolds]. Thankfully, people also seem to like my work. They know that Ryan and I are in a groove of creative brotherhood that is unique and seems to be working.”
