After nearly five years of exploring the landscape between “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi,” Marvel Comics is set to conclude its celebrated Star Wars comic book series. The saga that has captivated fans through titles such as “Star Wars,” “Star Wars: Darth Vader,” “Doctor Aphra,” and “Bounty Hunters” will reach its finale this September with two oversized issues: “STAR WARS #50” and “STAR WARS: DARTH VADER #50.”

These fifty-page final issues promise to deliver a spectacular conclusion to the storylines that have delved deep into the adventures of beloved characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Lando Calrissian, as well as the dark trials of Darth Vader.

“STAR WARS #50,” crafted by writer Charles Soule and artist Madibek Musabekov, will showcase Jedi Master Luke Skywalker imparting a crucial lesson to his student, Ben Solo. This narrative weaves through multiple eras of its history, providing fans with a thrilling and climactic end to the Rebel Alliance’s epic journey.

Following this, the longest-running Darth Vader comic series comes to a stunning close in “STAR WARS: DARTH VADER #50.” Acclaimed writer Greg Pak, alongside artist Raffaele Ienco, brings Darth Vader’s dark saga full circle. The Dark Lord of the Sith will finally unleash the full might of his power against his greatest enemy, Emperor Palpatine. This final issue will also reveal the concluding twists in the arcs of key characters such as Luke, Leia, Sabé, Ochi, the droid ZED-6-7, Sly Moore, and members of the Schism Imperial.

Fans can look forward to the breathtaking cover art for both issues by Leinil Francis Yu and a special connecting cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli.

As Marvel Comics wraps up this chapter of the SW universe, readers are promised an unforgettable finale. Stay tuned for more announcements from Marvel Comics about new adventures in different eras of the galaxy far, far away later this year.
