Key Takeaways
Captain Marvel/Martyr & Phyla-Vell are powerful members with Kree/Titan Hybrid Physiology, FTL Flight, and energy-based powers.
Nova, Beta Ray Bill, Hercules, Moondragon, Super-Skrull, Adam Warlock, Doctor Doom, and Cosmic Ghost Rider are potent team members.
The Guardians of the Galaxy debuted back in January 1969 in Marvel Super-Heroes #18, but the roster looked very different from the one that fans know today. The team was never a big name in the comics, with the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and even the Inhumans being much more well known.
This changed in 2008 when the team was rebooted, featuring the gang of space misfits that people know and love now. Over its history, it has had some powerful members join its ranks, featuring characters from Earth, but also cosmic and otherworldly names.
