Marvel Celebrates Its “First Family” With A Miniseries That Appears To Be Perfect For New Fans Of The Franchise

Fantastic Four: Fanfare #1 – Written By Mark Waid, Andrew Davis, & Mark Wheeler; Art By Ramon Rosanas, Andrew Davis & Sara Pichelli

With decades of comics and history behind them, it may feel daunting for new fans to leap into the Fantastic Four ahead of Fantastic Four: First Steps release in theaters. The upcoming Fanfare limited series is the ideal way to get a peek at Marvel’s first superhero family, however, with each of the four main characters getting a chance to shine. Fanfare #1 will focus primarily on Johnny Storm, including his playfully antagonistic relationship with Ben Grimm, and a sparring session with Mole Man; meanwhile Reed, Sue, and Ben’s subsequent issues will undoubtedly highlight their unique personalities, as well.

Although few other specific details have been released about the remaining three issues [of Fanfare], they’re in the hands of Marvel’s best and brightest.

Fantastic Four: Fanfare is a thoughtful gift from Marvel before the characters appear on the silver screen, topped off with a stunning cover by artist Matteo Scalera. Longtime readers get the chance to spend more time with their favorite Fantastic Four writers, while Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing star in exciting new stories. Although few other specific details have been released about the remaining three issues, they’re in the hands of Marvel’s best and brightest, and that’s sure to be reflected in the pages of Fanfare.

The Fantastic Four Are In The Spotlight At Marvel Comics Once More, Ahead Of Their Entry Into The MCU

Fanfare Is The Publisher’s “First Step” Toward The New Cinematic Adapation

Fanfare is hardly the only thing the Fantastic Four has going on. The ongoing Fantastic Four (2022) title continues to provide expert-level storytelling and exploration of the team’s powers, and they’re gearing up to face Sorcerer Supreme Doom as the One World Under Doom event kicks off with the Thing losing his powers. In short, the team is staying busy, and shows no signs of slowing down, putting Fanfare in excellent company and offering fans a buffet of titles to choose from. The Fantastic Four’s upcoming miniseries is a must-read and the ideal highlight reel ahead of their highly-anticipated MCU debut.
