The entire Marvel Cinematic Universe is brought together by Iron Man and Captain America in a new Avengers: The Kang Dynasty fan trailer. 2023 has been helping push the Multiverse Saga forward as Marvel Studios get closer to the two major Avengers movies that will serve as another end of an era for the MCU timeline. The first one will be Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, borrowing the Kang Dynasty comic book title, although time will tell how different it will be from the source material.

As the MCU has introduced multiple versions of Kang, the mystery about which variant the Avengers will face in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty remains unanswered for now. While the world is waiting patiently for the massive team-up movie, Screen Culture has released a new Avengers: The Kang Dynasty fan trailer.

The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty fan trailer, serving as a proof-of-concept, sees past and present Avengers joining forces with the next generation of heroes that have been joining the MCU over the last few years. The bigger twist, however, is the recruitment of none other than Fantastic Four baddie Victor von Doom, a.k.a. Doctor Doom.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty was initially slated to come out May 2, 2025, but due to the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes, with the former having ended last month, Marvel Studios pushed it back to May 1, 2026, instead. The date was previously occupied by Avengers: Secret Wars, which is now coming out on May 7, 2027. In terms of plot points, Marvel Studios have been keeping them tightly under wraps as very little is known about the first part of the Multiverse Saga finale.

While storylines are being kept a secret, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty has already assembled its creative team, with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton set to helm it. Despite the connectivity that will exist between Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, Cretton is not expected to direct the latter, with Marvel Studios still looking for a different filmmaker. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania scribe Jeff Loveness is penning the script, although it is unclear whether or not the screenplay is being updated due to the WGA strike having delayed things for a lot of productions.
