One jaw-dropping, grin-inducing cosplay has just given the Hulk one of his best character mash-ups to date by combining the green giant with none other than Santa Claus. And yes, for those who didn’t know, Santa Claus does exist in the Marvel Universe—and he’s all kinds of badass.
It may even spark nostalgia for long-time Hulk fans, who will remember the time the Grey Hulk battled Santa in The Incredible Hulk #378…
Brent H (@bearded_tattooed_guy_in_ga on Instagram) is well-known in the cosplay community for his larger-than-life creations—literally. He has earned a reputation for bringing oversized characters to life, such as Rhino, Solomon Grundy, Sentinel, and, of course, the Hulk himself.
However, this holiday season, Brent has taken his already epic Hulk cosplay to the next level by adding a Santa-inspired twist. He’s infused Bruce Banner’s green with a touch of red, sporting a red vest with white fur trim, a classic Santa hat, and, of course, Saint Nick’s signature white beard. It’s impossible not to smile when seeing this, and there’s no denying that this is one of the most fun cosplays we’ve seen in a while.
Hulk Meets Santa In Epic Character Mash-Up This Holiday Season
Santa-Hulk Is Spreading Holiday Cheer at Christmas Parade in Dallas, GA
Brent has shared several reels and photos of his Santa-Hulk cosplay on Instagram, captioning one post with a festive, “Santa-Hulk is getting ready to hit the holiday season with full force!” One of the featured reels shows Brent fully Hulked out, standing beside what is undoubtedly a massive red sled, though it looks small in comparison to the Green Giant’s towering form. In another post, Brent’s Santa-Hulk is seen walking down the street during the Dallas, Georgia Christmas parade. This undoubtedly not only allowed Brent to receive the praise he deserves for his cosplay but also likely sparked some Marvel-flavored joy among spectators.
This cosplay also serves as an epic reminder that Santa Claus is part of the Marvel Universe, making it a true Marvel character mash-up—even if Santa isn’t as prominent in Marvel’s narratives as the Hulk. It may even spark nostalgia for long-time Hulk fans, who will remember the time the Grey Hulk battled Santa in The Incredible Hulk #378 (1991), written by Peter David and Kurt Busiek with art by Bill Jaaska. While this wasn’t the true Santa of Marvel lore but rather the Rhino disguised as a mall Santa, it’s hard to see Brent’s cosplay and not think of that iconic moment when Hulk duked it out with the fake Santa.

Marvel Obviously Needs to Up Their Santa-Hulk Game

If there’s one thing to be learned from Brent’s epic cosplay, it’s that Marvel needs to step up its game when it comes to Santa-Hulk. Brent has set the bar higher than ever for this unique character mash-up. While Marvel has played with the idea of Santa-Hulk through various cover art, like Ed McGuinness’ Green Hulk Santa Variant for Hulk #9 (2008), we’ve yet to see the Hulk don a full Santa beard for the holiday season—something that’s undeniably needed after seeing Brent’s cosplay. However, even if Marvel never goes full Santa with the Hulk, fans will always have Brent’s Santa-Hulk to look back on as the ultimate holiday mash-up.
