Summary
Potential buyers could be The Fantastic Four or even Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, with nefarious intentions.
The tower’s buyer will be revealed eventually, but speculation remains high on who it could be.
Marvel has created an expansive story across the entire MCU, but there are some gaps that have yet to be filled and questions left unanswered, like one important detail that was first revealed in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Since the MCU began in 2008 with Iron Man, there have frequently been Easter eggs and details that hinted at future stories, like the inclusion of the Ten Rings in Iron Man, which would not be fully realized until more than a decade later in Shang-Chi.
Despite the rate of Marvel projects being released much quicker these days, there are still new mysteries that take years to be acknowledged or resolved. In Eternals, one of the earliest entries in Phase 4, the film ended with a gigantic celestial rising out of the sea before being turned into a giant rock. Since the films release in 2021, fans have cried out for some sort of answer or acknowledgment regarding what the world in the MCU thinks about this unexpected monument, and with the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, it appears that the MCU is finally addressing the mystery.

Marvel Still Hasn’t Answered Who Bought Avengers Tower
Someone With Seriously Deep Pockets
However, another mystery has been lingering in the MCU since before the Infinity Saga concluded, which was first raised in the 2017 movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming. The issue, of course, being who now owns Avengers Tower. While speaking with Peter Parker, Tony Stark reveals that following the incidents in Captain America: Civil War, he moved everything out of the tower, into the compound, and sold the tower in New York. Since then, it has remained a mystery as to who purchased the huge tower that stands tall in the New York City skyline.
Since then, almost a decade has passed within the world of the films, and there is still no clear answer about who bought the tower. It’s evident that whoever did make the purchase would need access to vast amounts of money, in order to buy such a prime piece of real estate, and they would want to conduct their affairs in a somewhat public manner, considering the building is very visible. Previously, the building sported a logo for Stark Industries, and once Tony converted the building as a headquarters for the Avengers, it had a large A.
The Best Theory For Who Bought Avengers Tower
Very Few People In The MCU Could Be The Buyer
Leading on from those conditions, there are very few people who could potentially move into the Avengers Tower. One popular theory suggests it could be The Fantastic Four, who are set to make their debut in the MCU in 2025. However, the movie they appear in has been confirmed as being set in another timeline (via Screen Rant), so The Fantastic Four will need to cross the Multiverse to get to the New York seen in the MCU. This could have led to the team trying to find a new hub for their activities, and spending some time raising the required funds to be able to purchase the tower.
Since then, it has remained a mystery as to who purchased the huge tower that stands tall in the New York City skyline.
Alternatively, the tower could have been purchased by someone with far more nefarious intentions. This theory could take the story in two different directions. Either, the MCU could move in a similar direction to the 2005 Fantastic Four movie where Victor Von Doom is a primary source of funding for Reed Richards and his allies, or the Kingpin himself, Wilson Fisk, could have accumulated enough wealth and influence to acquire the tower ahead of his impending MCU villain arc. Either way, the tower will continue to have a role in the MCU, but only after the Spider-Man: Homecoming mystery of who bought it has been revealed.
