The sadistic art-inspired serial killer, Muse, has become the main villain of the early episodes of Daredevil: Born Again, and now the character has made their return to the Marvel Universe even AFTER their death in the new Red Band series, Daredevil: Unleash Hell (Red Band is Marvel’s equivalent of an R-Rated comic book. It ships polybagged so that younger readers cannot read it), as Muse has possessed a college student, and in this CBR exclusive preview of Daredevil: Unleash Hell #4, Daredevil (Elektra, who took over as Daredevil when Matt Murdock was sent to prison a few years back, and has continued in the role even after Matt was pardoned, and returned to being Daredevil himself) finds herself having difficulty fighting an actual demon!

Daredevil: Unleash Hell #3 is from writer Erica Schultz, artists Valentina Pinti, José Luis Soares, and Jonas Trindade, colorist Dee Cunniffe, and letterer Clayton Cowles, and shows what happens when the innocent college student that Muse was semi-possessing gives in fully to Muse, and let’s Muse take total control of her body.

Daredevil’s New Suit Teased

Daredevil: Born Again is getting spotlighted with a comic book crossover this spring.

In the preview pages, Daredevil struggles with the battle with Muse, as while Elektra certainly has experience dealing with demons throughout her life, when it boils down to it, she is almost entirely about physical battles. So what do you do when you’re facing off against someone with magical powers, and who you CAN’T just simply defeat in a normal fight?

Muse can attack Daredevil from surprise angles, and she can shake off blows directly to the face, and at the same time, Muse is still possessing a nominally innocent college student here, so even if Daredevil COULD find a way to hurt Muse, how to do that without hurting an innocent person (and remember, Elektra vowed to Matt that she would never kill anyone as Daredevil)?

You’ll have to pick up Daredevil: Unleash Hell #3 next week to see how Elektra navigates these murky waters in her battle with Muse.
