WARNING! This article contains spoilers for Daredevil #19Daredevil has gone up against many foes over the years. Some of those enemies keep returning in an attempt to ruin Matt Murdock’s life, one of the most infamous being Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye. But thanks to a monstrous entity born out of Matt’s rage, Bullseye has taken his final shot.
In a preview for Daredevil #19–written by Saladin Ahmed with art by Aaron Kuder, Jesus Aburtov, and Clayton Cowles—Daredevil faces off against the personification of rage itself that manifests as a wolf-like beast. The monster takes both Bullseye and Matt’s best friend, Foggy Nelson, captive and forces Matt to choose which one will live and which will die.
The rage monster is difficult for Daredevil to fight, as his motivations for doing what he does are based on his own inner rage. It appears as though Matt does not have to ultimately make the decision, as the monster leaves Bullseye for dead.
The Events Of Daredevil #19 Comes On The Heels Of Bullseye’s Worst Crime In The MCU

The news of Bullseye’s death in Ahmed’s Daredevil is more timely than ever, considering the plot of Daredevil Born Again. In the series premiere, Foggy is shot and killed by Bullseye, which leads to a knock-down-drag-out fight between Bullseye and Daredevil. To end the fight, and in his grief over Foggy, Matt throws Bullseye off of a roof. Later, Poindexter is given a life sentence and locked away, though trailers for the series have shown that jail won’t be the last of Bullseye.
For fans of both the comics and show, Bullseye’s ultimate demise in Ahmed’s Daredevil may be a satisfying twist. Bullseye’s death appears to ensure Foggy’s life, whereas in Daredevil: Born Again, Bullseye’s continued survival sealed Foggy’s fate. Matt’s fight with Bullseye while Foggy was dying was one of the most brutal encounters to date. But it is the choice to toss Bullseye from the roof in an attempt to kill him that breaks Matt as much as Foggy’s death, as Matt has always refused to cross a line by killing people.
Daredevil And Bullseye Have A Long And Violent History
Bullseye Killed Two Of Daredevil’s Girlfriends
Bullseye and Daredevil’s rivalry is one of the most vicious in Marvel Comics and the MCU as well, with Benjamin Poindexter acting as the catalyst that stops Matt from continuing to act as a vigilante in Daredevil: Born Again. From their initial clashes in the comics, where Bullseye’s superhuman skill of deadly accuracy was revealed, to their intense confrontations in season 3 of Netflix’s Daredevil, their encounters are always brutal. Bullseye’s unhinged mental state, combined with his ability to turn any object into a lethal weapon, makes him a constant and terrifying threat to Daredevil and those he loves.
