Daredevil Is Back In Black Armor This April

Just in time for Daredevil: Born Again streaming on Disney+, Marvel Comics is putting Daredevil in an entirely different costume starting with April’s Daredevil #20: the classic Black Armor costume.

Per an extremely brief teaser provided by Marvel, “In April’s DAREDEVIL #20 by Saladin Ahmed and José Luis Soares, DAREDEVIL suits up in his iconic black armor to face off against a new enemy, while Matt Murdock finds comfort in the arms of a former flame!”

While we’re all having a little bit of fun here mocking Marvel’s lack of synergy with the TV show hitting on March 4, and then a relatively unrecognizable version of Matt Murdock hitting comics a month later… It’s possible the former flame could be connected to the show in some way (though most of Matt’s former flames are dead, so TBD on that one). And who is the new enemy that demands this return to the Black Armor? TBD, as well!

And in case you’re not familiar, the Black Armor is a classic ’90s costume that recently made a return in the miniseries Daredevil: Black Armor by D.G. Chichester and Netho Diaz. Whether Daredevil’s “secret” identity of Jack Batlin’ will make a return? We’ll just have to wait to find out.
