Elektra’s bloody new limited series as Daredevil will start in January 2025 and take the Woman Without Fear to a fight so brutal that the series has to be polybagged in comic book stores. The series’ red band label gives the fierce hero freedom to really bring the pain.
When Elektra officially became Daredevil, she agreed to leave killing behind and live as a hero in Matt Murdock’s name. However, it appears that Marvel is eager to see the Woman Without Fear get her hands dirty again as she gets her own R-rated series where she takes on a grisly new threat.

Elektra’s Woman Without Fear Is Fittingly Going Red Band for New Solo Series
Her Adventures as Daredevil Continue
The world of Hell’s Kitchen in Marvel Comics with Daredevil and Elektra has always been more cruel and violent than many of Marvel’s other superhero adventures, but Daredevil may be approaching the franchise’s most bloodthirsty era yet. As Marvel embraces the red band comics that come polybagged to protect those who don’t want to come across such explicit content, the Woman Without Fear will be tested with gory and grisly crimes. Marvel teases an “impossible perpetrator” and the occult in its descriptions of the series, hinting that Elektra’s no-kill rule could be loosened for her to seriously wreak havoc to defend Hell’s Kitchen.
Marvel Promises Ultra-Violent New Red Band Series will Target A-List Heroes
Marvel’s forthcoming “red band” crossover Blood Hunt will be the bloodiest and most violent ever, and not even A-listers like the Avengers are safe.
Daredevil joins the ranks of Blade, Wolverine, and Werewolf By Night as characters to get their own solo spin-offs with the red band rating after the success of the explicit violence in Blood Hunt’s red band version of the massive Marvel vampire event. Differences between the standard and red band editions include more limbs torn, innards strewn about, and generally more bloodshed and carnage. After taking on the Punisher in her current Daredevil: Woman Without Fear series, Elektra’s next mission as the red-horned hero will see her go back to her vicious assassin roots while still maintaining hero status.
Daredevil May Face a Paranormal Enemy in New Series
The Occult Finds Elektra in a Blood-Soaked Hell’s Kitchen
Marvel’s street-level heroes will yet again be forced to encounter the supernatural, as Daredevil: Unleash Hell could be taking the religious terminology more literally. While details on the newly announced series are still sparse, the hints at the occult and the series’ R-rating point to a possibly paranormal antagonist that Daredevil will be forced to clash with in a horror-tinged tale. Though both versions of Daredevil have encountered magic and mysticism in their Marvel tenures, a brutally violent and gory battle against a terrifying and potentially demonic villain could become their most harrowing adventure yet.
Elektra debuted as Daredevil in
Daredevil
#25 by Chip Zdarsky, Marco Checchetto, Marcio Menyz, and Clayton Cowles, available now both digitally and in collected editions from Marvel Comics.
After her villainous origins – and after being redefined as an all-new version of Daredevil – Elektra has been transformed into a new type of character who does her best to avoid being overtly violent. Schultz and Pinti’s upcoming limited series puts the hero to the ultimate test and gives her free rein to really let loose and show her true blood-splattered colors. As the all-new Daredevil enters a dangerous and unrestricted new era, Elektra’s hellish nature is unleashed in all its ultra-violent glory.
