Eager to find easter eggs and Marvel references in Daredevil: Born Again Episode 7? The episode titled “Art for Art’s Sake” features several of those.

It showcases Matthew Murdock fighting Muse after becoming Daredevil once again. Throughout the episode, several scenes featured clever nods to the broader MCU and also contained other unique references. If you missed any of the easter eggs in today’s episode, then here are the details.

Here’s a list of the latest episode’s easter eggs and Marvel references:

Matt Murdock appears to be wearing a crucifix in the shower scene of Episode 7. It indicates his faith in Catholicism. However, it seems that the necklace is of utmost significance to him, as it’s most likely the same one his mother gave him in Netflix’s Daredevil Season 3.

Muse’s real identity is Bastian Cooper. He is a deeply disturbed teen who takes his victims’ blood and paints the city with dark murals. Against his will, his parents attempted repeatedly to put him in a mental institution. Marvel Studios took a different take on Muse’s identity as compared to the comics. In the comics, Muse’s real name wasn’t revealed.

Fisk reflected on his “unjust arrest” in Netflix’s Daredevil Season 3. He reveals that Daredevil destroyed his empire easily, which took him nearly 10 years to establish. Even after Fisk’s arrest, Murdock kept a close eye on his every operation and kept posing a threat to him.

In one of the scenes, Fisk talks about Buck, who goes by the antagonistic name, Bullet, in Marvel Comics. He reveals that he brought him from his “other life” and has added him to the administration for assistance. Here, the “other life” he was referring to is probably Bullet’s criminal past in comics. In the current series, Buck is his right-hand man, instead of Wesley, who served Fisk in the Netflix series.

Before facing a brutal fate, Muse expresses his need to be seen, similar to his comic counterpart. He is ultimately killed by Heather Glenn, played by Margarita Levieva. However, in the comics, his life was taken by another vigilante called Blindspot.

Wilson Fisk visits Bamonte’s in New York to have dinner. In reality, Bamonte is a famous Italian restaurant based in Brooklyn. The place suits the tone of the series, given that it also has a history with infamous mobs.
