WARNING! Spoilers for One World Under Doom #2

The Avengers have expanded their roster to welcome villains into the team, and readers are getting an early look at this unexpected line-up in action. That’s right: the Masters of Evil have become Avengers now that a common enemy is uniting the heroes and their adversaries. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are making a controversial move by recruiting these nefarious newcomers to the Avengers, but the end result may be worth the risk.

Via AIPT Comics, Marvel has unveiled an unlettered preview of One World Under Doom #3 by Ryan North and R.B. Silva. This issue will mark the third installment of Doctor Doom’s saga of world domination, in which the villain has already defeated the Avengers and seized control over governments across the globe.

In these preview pages, the Avengers are faced with no other option than to join forces with the Masters of Evil, which houses many iconic Marvel villains who don’t typically fight on the heroes’ side. Doom has made the Avengers desperate, as evidenced by this tentative team-up.

The Masters of Evil’s admission into the Avengers may be temporary until the present threat is eliminated, but the fact that the heroes need their help at all proves how dangerous Doctor Doom truly is.
