The following contains major spoilers for Power Man: Timeless #2, on sale now from Marvel Comics.
The most dangerous mutant villain of all time is stepping up to save the entire Marvel Universe.
Power Man: Timeless #2 finds the titular hero facing off against the near-unstoppable threat of Aeon the Knife, the latter of whom is left beaten down into the surface of the planet Venus. While this gives Power Man and the enigmatic Eversight time to unpack the cosmic threat that they are currently faced with, it also gives Aeon all the time he needs to recuperate before slashing his way through reality itself. Soon enough, Aeon has arrived on Arrako, formerly Mars, in search of whatever champion might choose to defend it from him. Unfortunately for Aeon, there is no mere mortal waiting to fight back, but rather one of the oldest warriors the Marvel Universe has ever known, and Apocalypse has no intention of giving up easily.

En Sabah Nur, better known as Apocalypse, has long been one of the most terrifying mutants in the entire Marvel Universe. After making his first proper appearance in the pages of 1986’s X-Factor #5 by Bob Layton and Jackson Guice, Apocalypse set out forming a new organization known as the Alliance of Evil, which was crafted in the hopes of helping mutantkind achieve the sort of world domination that the ancient villain had hoped to see for so long. While this initial attempt at establishing a new status quo was ultimately a failure, it was far from the only such undertaking that Apocalypse would be behind.
In the years since, Apocalypse has established himself as one of the foremost mutant villains the Marvel Universe has to offer, even if his character isn’t quite as simple as that. Despite all his plotting over the decades prior to the formation of Krakoa, Apocalypse was still offered a place on the mutant island, as well as a spot in its ruling body – The Quiet Council. When Mars was rechristened Arakko by mutantkind, Apocalypse found an entirely new kind of home, one from which he could continue serving his people as he saw fit. Unfortunately, Apocalypse would again fall out of favor with the majority of his fellow mutants during the war between his kind and Orchis, which ultimately drove the iconic villain back to Arrako, where he believed the future of mutantkind rested.

Marvel’s Ultimate Universe Has a New Punisher (And It’s Not Who You’d Expect)
The Ultimate Marvel Universe just turned one of the MCU’s most unhinged villains into a whole new kind of Punisher, and he is terrifying.
Knowing that he could only have a minor influence on the goings-on of Earth at the absolute best, Apocalypse set out to find a suitable heir to his legacy who could espouse his message from afar. To that end, Apocalypse gathered a group of potential heirs against their will, dragging them to Arakko and forcing them to compete in a series of near-lethal trials to prove their worth. In the end, it was Douglas Ramsey, aka Cypher, who stood victorious in that regard, and who was rewarded with a shocking transformation into the being now known as Revelation.
