Taking us into the world of witches and fantasy, the latest Marvel TV series is about to land. Agatha All Along joins the likes of Loki, Hawkeye and Secret Invasion, to introduce us into yet another world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
A spin-off from the hit WandaVision, we’re finally getting a look at what Kathryn Hahn’s villain is getting up to after Wanda stole all of her magical abilities. And diving into the witchiness on her ‘dangerous, mysterious adventure’, she’s joined by the likes of Aubrey Plaza, Patti LuPone and Joe Locke.
Created by Jac Schaeffer and arguably pretty different to the standard superhero stuff, the desperate coven set off down the Witches’ Road in the upcoming TV series.

With it being such a swerve from the likes of Iron Man and Captain America, LuPone previously admitted to not knowing much at all about the MCU and when LADbible caught up with her recently, she admits she still doesn’t.
However, she’s still absolutely up for defending this latest series from Martin Scorsese’s previous critiques of Marvel.
Back in 2019, the legendary director said he’s ‘tried’ to watch some of the movies, but said they’re simply ‘not cinema’.

He added to Empire magazine: “Honestly, the closest I can think of them, as well made as they are, with actors doing the best they can under the circumstances, is theme parks.
“It isn’t the cinema of human beings trying to convey emotional, psychological experiences to another human being.”
But legend of stage and screen, Marvel newbie LuPone responded to this criticism by praising Schaeffer for creating ‘incredible life’ in both of her series.
“She’s came from independent films, and she’s a filmmaker,” the Beau Is Afraid star told LADbible.

“As I said, I don’t know anything about Marvel, and so I don’t know who the other directors are, and I don’t know what the characters are, but I think she takes what is Marvel, what are Marvel characters, and then creates an environment that is cinematic storytelling.”

While proudly defending Agatha All Along and WandaVision from Scorsese’s MCU slam, it is true LuPone doesn’t have much knowledge of the long list of other Marvel shows and films.
“I’m just too busy,” she said, explaining why she won’t be learning much more about the MCU. “Yeah, I don’t know anything about the Marvel world, but I don’t know anything about anything, period. So, it’s nothing against Marvel.”
