Marvel has announced its upcoming Infinity Paws, an animal-centric infinity comics crossover event billed as “The Clawsover of the Century.”
Per Marvel, its Vice President and Creative Executive Ryan Penagos made the announcement during the Next Big Thing panel at New York Comic Con. Veteran Infinity Comic creator Jason Loo (Lucky The Pizza Dog, X-Men Unlimited) and fan-favorite artist and colorist Nao Fuji (Marvel Meow) will write and illustrate the comics. The series features fan-favorite animals from across the Marvel Universe — Jeff the Land Shark, Carol Danvers’ feline companion Chewie, Alligator Loki and Lucky the Pizza Dog — all star in their own Infinity Comics.

Loo is delighted about the characters and his collaborator, “We have almost all of your favorite Marvel pets in this giant crossover, from the furry ones to the scaly ones. And I couldn’t be more pleased to be joined by the delightfully talented Nao Fuji illustrating this series!” he said.
The Infinity Paws series is not the only big crossover coming from Marvel. NYCC also saw the announcement of the company-wide crossover Blood Hunt. The storyinvolves a massive vampire attack on the Marvel Universe. The main miniseries for the crossover event will be written by Jed MacKay and drawn by star artists Pepe Larraz and Marte Gracia. Like almost every current prominent crossover event, Blood Hunt will have tie-ins in other comic book titles and some spotlight miniseries tied into the event.

MacKay, who is also currently working on Doctor Strange, The Avengers, and Moon Knight, teased the plethora of characters that would be in the series. “We have vampires in our books all the time, there’s some bad blood there. What happens if the shoe is on the other foot? We’ve got the Avengers, Moon Knight’s Midnight Mission, Doctor Strange, Miles Morales, and of course, Blade, and there’s going to be more vampires you can shake a stick at,” the writer said.
The clawsover of the century Infinity Paws drops on Marvel Unlimited in spring 2024.
