Wade Wilson and Logan are joining forces once again for a brand new series Wolverines & Deadpools arriving this July. But this time, the daughters of Deadpool and Wolverine will be joining in on their fathers’ fun.

The three-issue limited series is set to be written by previous Deadpool creative team, writer Cody Ziglar and artist Rogê Antônio. Check out the newly announced plot synopsis and first cover art below:

CLAWS & MUTANTS. MERCS & MOUTHS. WOLVERINES & DEADPOOLS! What’s better than THE BEST THERE IS partnered up with the MERC WITH THE MOUTH? How about adding daughters Ellie Camacho and Laura Kinney to the mission as they go up against a classic X-VILLAIN? Wolverines & Deadpools, baby!

Along with the first cover art and plot details, Zigler explains how this coming series will continue to expand on the rise of Deadpool’s daughter, Ellie Camacho:

“The past 15 issues I’ve spent writing Wade and Ellie have been a dream come true. Getting to finish out their journey with two of the coolest mutants is just a cherry on top—I can’t explain just how much I look forward to exploring the father-daughter dynamics with these four!”

The Father-Daughter Team Unites Both Versions of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’

A Marvel Family Adventure That is Definitely NOT Suitable For Children

Ziglar and Antonio most recently evolved Ellie Camacho from the young daughter of Wade Wilson to a full-fledged assassin in her own right, sending shockwaves through the Marvel Comics fanbase with the announcement of a new, female Deadpool. Stepping up to replace Deadpool following his death (don’t worry, he got better), Ellie has been trained by Wade’s on-again, off-again frenemy Taskmaster. Her skills spoke for themselves, but she will now have a chance to show off alongside her father.

Wait, Deadpool Is Really Raising His Daughter With Who??

After becoming a hero in her own right, Deadpool’s daughter Ellie officially claims a surprise Marvel character as her parent alongside Wade Wilson.

For the Wolverines half of the title, fans will be thrilled to have any team-up between the X-Men’s Logan and Laura Kinney to look forward to, with both heroes having brought much respect (and countless kills) to the name in recent years. Not to mention how many X-Men readers will love another chance for Laura to demonstrate why Logan happily passed the ‘Wolverine’ name to his daughter. But a combination of heroes this good is bound to get everyone asking the same question.

Could ‘Wolverines & Deadpools’ Be in The MCU’s Future?

The Father/Daughter Team-Up Isn’t Just Brilliant, But A Perfect Movie Sequel

Given the acclaimed Deadpool & Wolverine earning rave reviews, celebrity cameos aplenty, and the biggest box office haul for an R-Rated movie ever, a sequel needs no justification. Yet it seemed from the beginning that this appearance would be Hugh Jackman’s last as Wolverine, having found one final approach to the character that he wished to depict on film before hanging up his claws. But could a chance to pass the Wolverine mantle to his daughter Laura change Jackman’s plans?

There’s no telling what an eventual Deadpool sequel could become, but there’s no denying the first images of Wolverine and Deadpool, joined by Laura and Ellie, will be turning heads when the comic arrives this summer. Whether it is an adventure that fuels the imagination of Marvel readers, or Marvel executives, remains to be seen.

Wolverines & Deadpools #1 will be available from Marvel Comics this July, 2025.
