Marvel has announced a new five-issue event miniseries starring Doctor Doom by Ryan North and R.B. Silva. Titled Rise of Emperor Doom, the new story will be part of Marvel’s new “One World Under Doom” event in 2025.
The new comics were announced at Marvel’s Next Big Thing Panel at New York Comic Con, with Marvel teasing that Rise of Emperor Doom will be the core title anchoring the “One World Under Doom” publishing initiative. The events of the story will also heavily impact North’s run of Fantastic Four, while also allowing Doom’s reign to be felt all across the Marvel Universe. Rise of Emperor Doom will debut on February 12, taking readers behind Victor Von Doom’s mask and allowing them to bear witness to the triumphs and trials of his rule — as well as the foolish attempts to topple it. Marvel released the main cover for The Rise of Emperor Doom #1, a promotional piece by Greg Land and interior artwork from the issue.
Marvel Announces New Holiday Special
Marvel announces a new Holiday Special one-shot featuring The Fantastic Four, the X-Men and Spider-Man as they celebrate the holiday season.
“One World Under Doom sees Doctor Doom coming out of [Latveria], and overnight, taking over the world,” North said, teasing Marvel’s upcoming event. “Every country is a province of a united Latveria, and everyone answers to Doom, and he is going to make some changes… He gets to show the world that he’s the greatest at what he does, and that might not be great for people not named Victor Von Doom.”

Marvel’s VP & Executive Editor Tom Brevoort teased Doctor Doom’s upcoming role in Marvel Comics’ publishing in the new year at the New York Comic Con panel, saying, “To the Avengers, Spider-Man and more… Doom is going to impact every corner of the universe for 2025.”
One World Under Doom Takes Over Marvel Comics in 2025
“One World Under Doom” was first teased at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, with Marvel comparing it to 2008’s Dark Reign as an overarching status quo shift that will be felt throughout the entire Marvel Comics Universe. Doom will accomplish his ultimate goal and use his new power to take over the entire world in a series of events that will impact all Marvel titles and launch a series of tie-ins and one-shots. As the anchor title for the event, Rise of Emperor Doom is likely to set all of these events in motion.

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola returns with an all-star team for a new Dark Horse series in Hellboy’s universe starring Frankenstein’s monster.
Set six months after Doctor Victor Von Doom became Sorcerer Supreme in Marvel’s Blood Hunt, One World Under Doom begins with Doom declaring himself Emperor of the World and the ruler of a new “United Latveria”. All of Earth’s leaders go along with Doom’s new plan, prompting some of Earth’s mightiest heroes to form a strike team to put an end to Doom’s far-reaching plans. Marvel has also teased that some heroes will welcome the new Emperor with open arms, joining the legions of people clamoring for ‘One World Under Doom’.
