Some of the best Marvel movies fans can’t stop fawning over are endlessly rewatchable. The superhero movie formula may be evident in certain instances, but the iconic nature of these movies ensures that fans will have a great time blasting through the scenes featured in these movies and introducing them to their friends.

5 Iron Man

One Of The Best Origin Movies That Never Ceases To Be Entertaining

Director: Jon Favreau Release Date: May 2, 2008 Runtime: 2 hours, 6 minutes

There were a lot of question marks directed towards Iron Man before its release. This character was far from the focal point for Marvel, and Robert Downey Jr. didn’t have a stellar reputation at that point. So, it’s a testament to Jon Favreau’s amazing direction that not only did Iron Man establish itself as one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, but it also serves as the definitive launching point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This charismatic billionaire is a character people love to this day, and this actor’s reveal as Dr. Doom makes it clear just how much of an impact his character had on the MCU. It features one of the best superhero origin stories that fans can watch time and time again, even if the final fight against Obadiah Stane is harder to rewatch given how formulaic it feels. Still, in terms of choosing a Marvel movie to watch again, Iron Man is an excellent candidate in this regard.

4 Captain America: Civil War

Introduces A Rift Between The Heroes That Is A Joy To Witness Time And Time Again

Director: The Russo Brothers Release Date: May 6, 2016 Runtime: 2 hours, 27 minutes

After seeing the heroes beat down an antagonist time and time again, it’s easy to see why many Marvel fans were getting jaded by this formula. It was hard to take any villain seriously, which is why Captain America: Civil War was such an important movie for the MCU. To this day, it’s amazing to see Iron Man and Captain America duke it out against each other as they develop massive differences that can’t be satiated with mere words alone.

The emotional stakes and unique structure of this story make it one of the best Marvel movies that fans will love rewatching. The introduction of Spider-Man as other established heroes pick their sides is a blast and goes to show why Marvel fans couldn’t get enough of what this franchise was cooking up at this point.

3 The Avengers

The First Ever Teamup Of The Greatest Superheroes Is A Joy To Witness

Director: Joss Whedon Release Date: May 4, 2012 Runtime: 2 hours, 23 minutes

The first Avengers movie was a cinematic spectacle for the ages, delivering on the promise of the greatest superhero team-up in movie history at that point. Watching everyone’s favorite heroes get their time to shine as they team up to stop the rampaging Loki in his tracks makes for a great time, and it helps that Hulk is revamped and paired with a fitting actor to help his character finally enjoy the love he deserved.

It helps that Loki is one of the better Marvel antagonists, with Tom Hiddleston’s charismatic performance enhancing this villain’s allure in the eyes of many. The way everyone bonds in the team as they save New York from this alien threat makes for a great time, making The Avengers one of the most rewatchable and enjoyable movies in the MCU.

2 Spider-Man: No Way Home

A Nostalgic Ride That Spider-Man Fans Can Rewatch With No Issues

Director: Jon Watts Release Date: December 17, 2021 Runtime: 2 hours, 28 minutes

Spider-Man: No Way Home is the crossover event fans had been waiting for. After Into the Spider-Verse showed how enticing it could be for numerous Spider-Men to team up and beat down an imposing threat, No Way Home rolled with this concept using live-action and hid the existence of Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield as the two Spider-Men who would join Tom Holland in a bid to send everyone back to their universes.

While the villain alliance is a bit flimsy at times, the nostalgic charms of No Way Home make it one of the most rewatchable movies that Marvel fans will love to check out numerous times without any complaints. The Spider-Men are a joy to witness whenever they team up and combine their efforts to beat down their respective antagonists and undo Doctor Strange’s magic.

1 Avengers: Infinity War & Endgame

A Cataclysmic Event With Major Ramifications That Serves As One Of The Most Impactful Duologies

Director: The Russo Brothers Release Date: April 27, 2018 (Infinity War) & April 26, 2019 (Endgame) Runtime: 2 hours, 29 minutes (Infinity War) & 3 hours, 1 minute (Endgame)

It may be cheating to group two movies under one umbrella, but any Marvel fan can attest to the fact that Infinity War is incomplete without Endgame, and vice versa. After being teased for numerous movies, Thanos finally made his presence known as one of the greatest Marvel antagonists of all time, courtesy of the fact that the heroes actually lost against him for a change at the end of Infinity War.

With half of the universe being wiped out, it was clear that the surviving heroes needed to do something drastic to undo this cataclysmic event. This is achieved in Endgame, with the Avengers engaging in some time-travel shenanigans to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and bring everyone back. However, an alternate version of Thanos enters their timeline, and it takes a heroic sacrifice from Tony Stark to wipe out Thanos’ army once and for all. It’s an emotional climax for a superhero everyone loved and makes for a cinematic duology that is endlessly rewatchable because of the high stakes and superstardom involved.
