While the Marvel’s plan after the Multiverse Saga has not been announced, these posters give fans a glimpse of what could come in the MCU’s Phase 7 and beyond.
As the Marvel Cinematic Universe has one of the largest and most vocal fan-bases of any movie franchise, many talented artists are always trying to predict what projects might release in Marvel Studios’ future, producing some excellent fan-made posters. Since the release of 2008’s Iron Man, Marvel Studios has created the richest live-action superhero franchise, spanning over 40 projects and comprising dozens of complex and entertaining characters. Although Marvel Studios has come under scrutiny in recent years, many MCU fans are still excited for what the future holds, and this anticipation has led to the creation of some incredible pieces of art, aiming to predict the MCU’s upcoming projects.
Marvel Studios dubbed the era between 2008’s Iron Man and 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home as the Infinity Saga, followed by the Multiverse Saga, which takes audiences from 2021’s WandaVision to 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars. While recent rumors have suggested that Secret Wars could reboot the MCU timeline, many talented artists have designed artistic posters for projects that could be released in the MCU’s Phase 7 and beyond. Many of these posters have been informed by character teases from previous MCU projects, as well as legendary storylines and crossovers from Marvel Comics that could be adapted for the live-action MCU. Here are 10 inspired examples of MCU fan posters.

10 Legendary Star-Lord
After the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill left the titular team to return to Earth, reuniting with his grandfather. A new Guardians of the Galaxy team was established in the MCU, but Quill was the only character confirmed to be returning in the MCU’s future, now with the moniker “Legendary Star-Lord.” This prompted the creation of a fantastic piece of artwork by @bensolo_cup on Instagram, which depicts Pratt’s Legendary Star-Lord in a solo film. Quill sports his signature helmet and weapons, with the poster adopting a vibrant color theme from the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
9 Thor: Battle Of Gods
Currently, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is the only MCU hero to receive four solo movies, and the God of Thunder has been confirmed to be returning in the future, despite the mixed reception to 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder. The potential for Thor 5 in the MCU has led to some impressive fan art, including a dramatic poster by @agtdesign on Instagram, depicting Thor: Battle of Gods. The poster not only hints at a darker tone for the Thor sequel, but includes the likes of Hercules, Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor, Korg, Loki, Valkyrie, and Thor in an epic team-up project. This is certainly a project audiences would fill theaters for.
8 Black Widow: The Winter Guard
Black Widow offered retrospective insight into Natasha Romanoff’s past in the MCU, though it released after the Avenger’s death in Endgame, and came under some criticism among the MCU’s audiences. Even so, Black Widow did introduce Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, who takes the focus of this commanding fan poster by @bensolo_cup on Instagram, showcasing a potential sequel titled Black Widow: The Winter Guard. In Marvel Comics, the Winter Guard is Russia’s answer to the United States’ Avengers, so this would be a great team to see form in a possible Black Widow sequel, continuing Romanoff’s legacy despite her no longer residing in the MCU.
7 The Spectacular Spider-Man
Tom Holland’s first MCU trilogy depicted Peter Parker full Spider-Man origin story, which means there is a world of opportunity for his future projects in the MCU. On Instagram, @agtdesign has suggested a potential storyline for The Spectacular Spider-Man, which pits Holland’s wall-crawler against villains including Venom, Kraven the Hunter, and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, while teasing a team up between Spider-Man, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Echo, and the Punisher. This project may seem ambitious, but with Spider-Man assumed to be more of a street-level hero in the MCU’s upcoming Spider-Man 4, following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s possible he could band together with other small-scale MCU heroes.
6 Deadpool Kills The MCU
Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson, who debuted properly in 20th Century Fox’s 2016 film, Deadpool, will be joining the MCU in 2024’s Deadpool 3, being the first character from Fox’s franchise to make the move to Marvel Studios. This creates the opportunity for some of Deadpool’s most memorable and hilarious storylines from Marvel Comics to be adapted in the MCU, including 2011’s Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, which @spdrmnkyxxiii on Instagram has reimagined as Deadpool Kills the MCU. The dark and sinister fan poster depicts Deadpool killing some of the MCU’s most high-profile heroes, which could be an exhilarating and intense story for Marvel Studios to explore.
5 The Defenders
Marvel Television’s Defenders saga is widely regarded as comprising some of the strongest Marvel TV shows, even after Marvel Studios branched out onto Disney+ in the Multiverse Saga. Even so, the canonicity of series such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Punisher is still disputed, but with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reprising their roles in the MCU proper, it’s possible the other Defenders could follow. On Instagram, @lodgiko has suggested what a Defenders project in the MCU might look like, with Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones being gifted comic-accurate superhero suits for their epic MCU adventure.
4 Young Avengers
Marvel Studios has introduced many new heroes in the Multiverse Saga, including several young superheroes who seem to be teasing the formation of a live-action Young Avengers team in the MCU. Ms. Marvel, America Chavez, Kate Bishop, Kid Loki, Ironheart, Cassie Lang, and Billy and Tommy Maximoff band together in a brilliant fan poster from @agtdesign on Instagram. Marvel Studios hasn’t yet confirmed a Young Avengers project, but the fact that so many young heroes have been introduced in recent years heavily suggests one is on the way, and the debut of the Young Avengers could help to raise excitement for the future of the MCU.
3 Silver Surfer
With the Fantastic Four confirmed to be coming to the MCU in Phase 6, many have suspected that the team could face Galactus, one of their most iconic villains from Marvel Comics. With Galactus comes his herald, the Silver Surfer, who has been depicted in a striking piece of art from @erathrim20 on Instagram. Many have theorized that the Silver Surfer will debut in the MCU soon, and the character’s rich history in Marvel Comics certainly constitutes a solo project. With the MCU set to expand into the cosmos and the magical world of the Fantastic Four, audiences would certainly flood to theaters to see the Silver Surfer on screen.
2 Midnight Sons
Much like the Young Avengers, Marvel Studios has been quietly teasing the formation of Marvel Comics’ Midnight Sons in the MCU, a darker team who deal with supernatural threats. In Marvel Comics, the Midnight Sons were formed by Doctor Strange, and comprised various Ghost Riders, Nightstalkers, and Darkhold Redeemers, while @agtdesign on Instagram imagines the MCU’s team with Blade, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, Morbius the Living Vampire, the Punisher, and Doctor Strange. It’s unclear when, or if, the Midnight Sons will form in the MCU, but many are highly anticipating the team’s arrival as Marvel Studios begins to explore the darker corners of the franchise in more detail.
1 Avengers Vs. X-Men
After Disney’s acquisition of Fox’s film studio in 2019, Marvel Studios began to integrate mutants into the MCU, starting with Kamala Khan in Ms. Marvel and Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This teased the introduction of the MCU’s official X-Men team, which could lead to an Avengers vs. X-Men movie in Phase 7. On Instagram, @bosslogic imagined what this might look like in a 2018 poster, which includes Iron Man battling Magneto. While this exact configuration may not happen in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, an Avengers vs. X-Men movie could be on the cards, and may even beat the success of Marvel Studios’ Infinity War and Endgame.
