Characters like Hit-Monkey, Lady Bullseye, and Shiklah could be introduced to add depth to the Deadpool universe.
Wade’s romantic life might become complicated with the inclusion of characters like Shiklah and Valentine Vuong.

Deadpool & Wolverine is fast approaching, and with the first trailer signifying that some familiar faces from across Marvel movie history will be making their presence felt, it’s a good time to analyze what other characters might be debuting on screen. Deadpool has a huge roster of supporting allies and enemies in the comics that could fit well into this Marvel Cinematic Universe project.

Each of these characters has a narrative reason for being a part of Wade’s latest journey, and with the Multiverse heavily involved within the premise, it’s easy to imagine how many of these crossovers could occur. Ultimately, Marvel has the tall task of both surpassing the original films and ensuring that the Deadpool universe meshes with the MCU. These characters could make that job easier.

10 Hit-Monkey is an Absurdly Perfect Character For the Sequel

Comic Debut

Screen Appearance

Hit-Monkey #1 (2010)

Hit Monkey (2021-)

Hit-Monkey is probably one of Marvel’s most underrated animated series, but it did recently garner a second season. While the comedy show might be a part of the Marvel Multiverse and could cross over with animated shows like What If…? in the future, Deadpool & Wolverine will likely adopt a new iteration of the character.

Hit-Monkey, the primate assassin of the comics, has a pre-existing relationship with Deadpool on the page. The two have operated in similar circles together, and with Deadpool’s cast of characters growing more bizarre in each movie, Hit-Monkey would be a natural fit for the vigilante’s tone. With Howard the Duck already thriving in the MCU, Hit-Monkey seems like the next step.

9 Lady Bullseye is a Great Twist on an Expected Character

Comic Debut

Screen Appearance

Daredevil Vol. 2 #111 (2008)

Hit-Monkey (2021-)

For Wolverine fans, every story has something good to it, even the bad ones, but some are grade-A stories that every fan should check out.

Hit-Monkey isn’t the only Marvel assassin to appear in the titular show. Lady Bullseye has also debuted on-screen via the animated series. Although it is unlikely that it’s specifically the animated version that makes an appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, stranger things have happened.

With the implications of the Multiverse and fans expecting characters like Colin Farrell’s Bullseye to appear, the involvement of Lady Bullseye could be a fantastic swerve. The character is an experienced mercenary in her own right and could provide ample support or serve as a dangerous foil to Deadpool.

8 Shiklah Could Complicate Wade’s Love Life

Comic Debut

Screen Appearance

Deadpool: The Gauntlet #3 (2014)

None

Out of all the menacing supervillain couples from the comics, Dracula and Shiklah are among the worst. However, before her bond with the vampiric icon was forged, Shiklah was actually married to Wade Wilson! Shiklah and the Merc with a Mouth had a destructive relationship, but the two killers couldn’t resist one another.

The Deadpool movies have put a huge emphasis on Deadpool’s relationship with Vanessa, who he literally turned back time to save. The arrival of Shiklah, whom Wade could have some kind of past with, might muddy those waters and provide some much-needed dramatic rom-com moments, which the series has become known for.

7 Princess is a Bizarre Deadpool Pet

Comic Debut

Screen Appearance

Deadpool Vol. 9 #1 (2022)

None

Across comic book media, there are some incredibly iconic pets that have stood the test of time. Although Deadpool & Wolverine might feature Dogpool, there’s room for yet another canine companion. Princess is far from a typical pet but matches the erratic style of the Deadpool movies wonderfully.

Princess is a Symbiote that had been bonded to Deadpool and has now formed a close connection to the mercenary. While the monstrous creature might have its fair share of murderous moments, Deadpool is obsessed with it. Perhaps through journeying across the Multiverse, Deadpool can have a few fun Symbiote encounters.

Comic Debut

Screen Appearance

New Mutants #25 (1985)

Legion (2017-2019)

David Haller is among the Marvel characters who were gifted a solo project on screen outside of the MCU timeline. The show was groundbreaking from both a visual and narrative perspective. With Haller’s story coming to an end due to a timeline reset, it’s plausible that the character could be featured in Deadpool & Wolverine.

If the Legion iteration of Haller is not included in the threequel, though, the comic version might still be a viable option. Charles Xavier’s sister and aunt to Legion, Cassandra Nova, is making an appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine. That familial connection makes a mention of Haller, at the very least, more likely.

5 Valentine Vuong Could Be Wilson’s Newest Ally

Comic Debut

Screen Appearance

Deadpool Vol. 9 #1 (2022)

30 Obscure Marvel Characters Who Deserve Their Own Movie

While most MCU fans haven’t heard of them before, obscure Marvel characters like Moondragon and Fantomex have plenty to offer.

Valentine Vuong was introduced into Deadpool’s comic series relatively recently, but the duo hit it off almost instantly. As another love interest in Wade’s life, Vuong could add to the rom-com tone that was present in previous movies. However, their links to the underworld are even more important.

Vuong might have an interesting array of abilities, but it’s their role in the Atelier Assassin Guild that could provide narrative material for Deadpool & Wolverine. With Wade venturing into the criminal landscape, perhaps in search of Patch, the Guild has to be a part of the conversation. Vuong takes on the role of the Horned Emperor, and thus, leader of the Guild in the comics, but perhaps they already hold this role in the movie.

4 The One Above All Could Question Wade’s Marvel Jesus Moniker

Comic Debut

Screen Appearance

Fantastic Four #511 (2004)

None

There are so many deities and characters that represent gods depicted in the MCU, but there’s one all-powerful being that has yet to make an appearance on screen. The One Above All is the ultimate deity, and his mysterious presence in the comics has never been fully explained.

With reality itself becoming a part of Deadpool & Wolverine’s narrative thanks to his Multiversal travels, Wade claims to be the Marvel Jesus and savior of the MCU. With those lofty expectations placed on his shoulders, it might be appropriate for him to come face to face with the true One Above All for the Marvel Universe. But who it may be, from Stan Lee to Kevin Fegie, is the question that needs answering.

3 Mojo is an Entertainment Giant

Comic Debut

Screen Appearance

Longshot #3 (1985)

X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997) Wolverine and the X-Men (2008-2009) Avengers Assemble (2012-2019)

10 Biggest Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer Reveals

Deadpool & Wolverine’s trailer release was filled with jokes and violence. But what surprises are in store for fans of the Merc With a Mouth?

Mojo is a grotesque figure whose consistent return in the X-Men comics has made him a fan favorite for all the wrong reasons. Mojo is so unique as a character that he has appeared across multiple animated shows and will likely be included as part of X-Men ’97 on Disney+.

Mojo’s MCU debut might be pretty much guaranteed, but there’s a live-action role for him to play first. Mojo has often been depicted as an obsessive showrunner, trying to form entertainment around Earth’s heroes. With the colliding cinematic universes in Deadpool & Wolverine, perhaps Mojo will be the secret villain behind the 20th Century FOX scenes seen in the trailer.

2 Bill, Agent of AIM is the Latest Bob

Comic Debut

Screen Appearance

Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #5 (2009)

None

The MCU has expanded upon many lesser-known characters from the comics, so perhaps Deadpool & Wolverine could do the same for Bill, an Agent of AIM. Fans might be familiar with Hydra Bob, a comedy role from the comics who made a brief cameo in the first Deadpool film.

Bill could very much act as a Multiverse replacement for Bob, reappearing across the various realities Deadpool visits. It might be likely that Bill becomes a TVA Agent, considering AIM is a lesser-used entity in the MCU, but on another Earth, maybe Advanced Ideas Mechanics have developed their own reality-hopping technology.

1 Deadpool Variants Play Into the Multiverse

Comic Debut

Screen Appearance

N/A

N/A

It can’t be a multiversal story without a few Variants popping up. Deadpool perhaps has more alternative versions from across comic history than any other Marvel character. From Venompool to Zombie Venom, Gwenpool to Lady Deadpool, the possibilities are endless.

There must be a reason why this specific Deadpool has been recruited by the TVA besides his timeline meddling. It’s plausible that Wade is having to defeat his Variants from different realities, or he’s tasked with recruiting the Deadpool Corps, a team hailing from the comics. Either way, it’s almost a done deal that a Variant of some kind will show up.
